Comment:
Peter is wise beyond his years when it comes to political science and economics and is respected at Evergreen. With this being said, he is the embodiment of the privileged white male and clearly uses it to his advantage, while our class was about discussing white privilege and finding ways to resolve the oppression caused by white males.

Peter is an amazing professor and person. If you care about the class and reach out to him, he will go out of his way to help you learn as much as possible about the subject, and for your future. He is soo knowledgeable, passionate, and experienced. Loved every moment in Venezuela and have never learned more in half a year, even in the workforce.

Always nice to hear an alternative view/perspective at the college level. I sincerely believe that this is his objective, because he is much to bright to believe that a socialistic economy will work anywhere. Thriving economies depend on entrepreneurial dynamics which are incentive driven...no incentive, no creativity (Microsoft & Apple).

I had Pete years ago and he has remained a helpful contact in my life. He is fast-paced and intellectually challenging. He speaks with a thick New York accent that takes getting used to. I highly recommend taking his courses. He is a great contact to have, and a good person to learn from. I spilled hot soup in his lap and he still writes me recs!

Readings & lectures seem more suited for grad students than undergrad.Clearly a brilliant professor who is passionate about what he teaches.I wouldn't recommend Prof Bohmer to someone who hasn't taken intellectually advanced courses before but if you're passionate about leftist political economy narratives he's a genius and class will be rewarding.

Comment:
At times he delivers his lectures at too rapid of a pace and his coursework seems too advanced for undergraduates. He is possibly the most intellectually advanced professor I've ever had. Do the readings and participate and his course will be worthwhile.

Comment:
Pete is intelligent and passionate. He teaches his own beliefs, which are well thought out, insightful, and extremely far left. He won't teach about mainstream economics, which I think would help students put alternatives in context. If you don't take his program, talk with him anyways. He has some amazing stories and experiences to share.

Comment:
Peter's lectures on economics are very confusing and most of the time I have NO idea what he's talking about. He is a nice guy and really smart though. He's interesting and always has good input, but too bad he can't explain things very clear(in economics at least.)

I find his class to be very interesting. I think I have learned more in this class than any other I have ever taken. The material we read is a little bit biased, but extremely informative. Peter is always willing to help and is there for the students.

Pete is a great teacher and friend. If you find his lectures hard to follow or cut short (which happens often), ask him for one on one help, he is always willing to do so. Some say he only preaches ideologies, but on the contrary, this is a man with a brilliant knowledge of economics that has spent many years thinking of alternatives! TRY HIM!!!!

Self-absorbed old Leftist. It's all about him and his personal ideological interests. Presumptuous in thinking it is okay to use his program as his podium for recruitment to his causes. Not well organized, poor seminar management, and lectures too fast and incoherently. There are real teachers at TESC, find them.

Uses his students to vicariously be a radical activist, in his comfy town, living in his comfy house, teaching at an almost entirely caucasian, middle to upper-middle-class college. Hard to understand, unorganized, and pontificates rather than teaches. Cooperate and easy credit.

Useless. I went into this class was high expectation and support for the subject matter. Other than the traveling part of the class (with him and another prof) I do in fact regret taking his class. Dogmatic, unclear, awkward one-on-one interactions... I'll go with other radical profs on campus, such as Larry Mosqueda instead.

before Peter I had a narrow&conservative perspective on econ & politics.at 1st I felt disgusted after his lectures/seminars til I realized I was getting angry about how right he was. very biased, speaks@100mph,makes up for it by bein so easy to reach.extremely demanding, but laidback as far as accepting work late, giving credit, writes pos.evals

Most brilliant professor I've ever had. Can articulate political theories that I could never dream of grasping. Forces students to think on their own, is not full of himself.
