Prof Tis keeps to the point and provides the information needed to do well in the course. Weekly emails on what topics to focus on were helpful. He was flexible on assignments and quizzes and was more interested in our thought process than blindly regurgitating info back. Assignments were reasonable. Quizzes were fair. I'd take a course w him again

I took this class about a year and a half ago. I enjoy programming/software development and shy away from networks. I found the class very interesting and would not hesitate to take another class with this professor.

Took this class online. The class did teach me a lot, however it was taught a very fast pace. Not for the faint of heart. Prof Tis was a good teacher and his pdf documents were spot on with teaching me. The book will also guide you through a majority of this class. It would have been nice to have recorded lectures in an mp3 format as well.
