Comment:
Tests are 20 multiple choice give or take; some times doesn't have a correct answer. Hard to understand, partly because his accent and partly because he's so smart and cannot bring it down to our level. He does bonus quizzes every class with an iClicker which are helpful for the GPA. I never understood a single thing and still got a C+.

Dr. Miri was okay. Gives a lot of extra credit and is pretty accessible out of class even though I never really used his office hours. Bonus quizzes every day which doesn't really hurt your grade but urges you to attend his lectures. Lots of exams, think we took 6 exams this past semester. Typically curves exams and homework is really easy. Easy A

Attending his office hours are crucial, by going, he was able to break down the content and help me understand it. The exams are 75% of the grade, (homework is 25%), each exam consists of 18 MC questions. He drops one of the first 4 exams. Quizzes are for up to 5% bonus. Overall, if you take the initiative and go to him for help, you'll do well.

Miri seems like he wasn't supposed to be a professor but somehow slipped through the cracks and someone in the chem department was like "alright I guess".

Miri is the WORST professor at RIT. He is always late, doesn't explain the material and it's not like you can even study from the book because the guy wrote the book which is just as much help as he is, ZERO. Avoid at all possible costs. He has no clue what he's doing.

He is not interested in teaching his students. He runs off the same slides he made 20 years ago. They might as well just make the assigned text book the professor and apply my tuition to something other than his salary. You have to read the book if you want to understand anything. Very intelligent person, very poor professor.

Homework is given through my courses. You get two attempts and are not shown what you did wrong. Power points are a mess. Poor control of class

Chemistry is my passion so I'm biased, but the class was very easy. He gives sample exams to study from, and the actual exams are very similar. Extra credit is optional iClicker quizzes. He's a very forward teacher who isn't looking to trick you. Only complaint is the one time I asked for help he was just as confused by the question as I was.

To me a teacher IS NOT GOOD if they curve the crap out of tests. Shouldn't have to, which he definately did or his whole class would fail. Class test average with 12 pt curve - 64%. Thats out of 60 kids. Is he doing his job? You tell me. There goes my $2000. Thanks RIT

The professor seemed cool at first. He uses a tool called iClicker and mine had problems. I reported it and the iClicker team said it was a bad one. They sent him a message and he responded saying I am getting no credit for it. His book (he wrote it) is terrible. Mistakes all over. His lecture is his book, so his lecture is also terrible.

TERRIBLE! The lectures are terrible and he goes through them rediculously fast. The tests and final are 100% multiple choice scantron graded. If it wasn't for the book I would have learned nothing.

Good teacher - Likes to give curve points. Presents the material well (even if it is pretty much out of the book). Text has changed - which is a good thing as the book was full of errors. Nice guy always available and willing to help.
