Superb teacher who clearly outlines her class in the syllabus. 3 online Tests and really fun journal assignments weekly. The reading and homework is fun and easy to complete. This class made me feel like watching Forensic Files. The lectures are fun to sit through and I think shes like a cool person.

Prof. Bates is a great professor. She knows how to engage the current issues in a way to make them interesting. She does tend to talk a lot about her personal life, but I guess you could use some humor once in a while. Overall, she was pretty easy. The only thing that would make it better is if she made the class participate more often.

Lectures are entertaining. I really enjoyed the class. Read the material, make sure you get it, don't skip, and you'll be fine.

Prof Bates really made this class fun. Most of the class was discussion board postings. The 3 books we read felt a lot in a 5 week class, but spread out over a semester would be pretty easy. The final exam was pretty straightforward, and the paper wasn't too difficult. If you are considering taking White Collar Crime with Prof Bates, do it!

I thought she was a nice teacher, always responded to emails and was helpful and funny in class, but he tests are HARD. The first test has no time limit so you think it's easy and most people get a good grade but then the other tests have a time limit and if you miss any class or don't take notes you are royally screwed you will get an F.

Very enthusiastic teacher. This was a fun class filled with lot's of good information. The teacher uses lot's of personal stories to make her point. For the most part attendance is mandatory, but she puts power points online. Reading the text book is essential for a good grade on the exams! I would recommend this class!

This was a very interesting course and Kristin made the it fun. Even though the course was taught in a lecture hall, she made it seem like an intimate group. She lectured and then allowed for questions and comments. She showed relevant videos and even featured a guest speaker. All tests and essays were necessary and educational. No busy work!

I took this class online. It was pretty easy. She grades pretty kick back on the papers. The final was extremely hard because it was cumulative. Too much information to know. Overall she was a very nice professor and was very helpful. I recommend taking her.
