Professor Zhang was always willing to help outside of class hours. This class came easier to me because I had taken stats in high school, so I already knew some material. I encourage those who aren't familiar with stats to show up to class, take notes, and ask for help. The notes truly helped because there is a lot of information!

Professor Zhang is one of those professors that is almost too smart to teach, he kind of expects you to already know what's going on, but if you ask for help he is super willing to help you. I went to his office hours several times and he was always very nice and sometimes retaught me all of the material from previous lectures. Lots of quizzes!

I had Roxin for Introduction to Probability and Statistics and he was one of my nicest professors ever. He explains things very well and goes over them a couple of times. He is very helpful if you do not understand something, and is happy to help! If you just pay attention during class and take proper notes, youll be fine.

Not the best English, but still understandable. Multiple tries on homework. Biweekly quizzes. Midterm and Final only 16 questions. Decent lecturer, shares powerpoint slides. Online textbook is linked to homework. Textbook sometimes has extra info. Must use R-studio software to do homework. Not the best at explaining things when you don't understand

At first, very difficult to understand accent but gradually becomes not a problem. He DOES care that his students understand the subject and I appreciate that. Sometimes there was a language barrier with questions but he is very patient and will re answer something for you. Very good at reviewing before exams.

I had Professor Zhang for Intro to Probability and Statistics, he's a super nice guy and is always willing to help during his office hour and in class. Typically quick with answering emails, even on weekends, also he will meet with you on weekends via zoom if you need help. Quizzes are worth a lot, so STUDY. Also don't get behind, you'll be fine.

This professor is too smart to teach. He does not know how to communicate with students and leaves them very lost. I went to his office hours and told him I have a tutor and I am still struggling and he apologized and said it gets easier. The tests are long and you will not have enough time to finish. Everything is online, I never used paper.

He is super difficult to understand at first. He is super kind and if you show up to his office hours, hes happy to help! Show up, make an effort and do the work and you'll pass. Your grades consist only of 4 tests, a midterm, and a final. STUDY. If you print out the slides for his class you can take notes on them and that'll make your life easier

Goes through problems step by step, and has tons of examples. Great teacher in my opinion, ymmv. I've always hated math, but once I found a professor who could teach it like he does, I found myself enjoying doing the math problems because I suddenly understood how they worked. Would definitely take a class with him again.

His class is as easy as you would expect stats to be. He is a bit difficult to understand but he posts all his slides online so it isn't too big a deal. He's a very involved professor during lectures and always goes over a concept until he is certain everyone grasps it. No attendance taken.

Ok professor. He is always willing to explain things if you have questions, but because everything is on a powerpoint, he tends to move fast so you can't write everything down. Just make sure you ask questions!

Great professor. Very good sense of humor. He has an accent but I had no trouble understanding him 95% of the time. You get quizzes every other week and he drops the lowest grade. We had two tests which were multiple choice (and curved I think). If you find this class hard, it's because of the material not the professor!

Awesome. A little hard to understand his accent, but you get used to it fast. Great sarcastic sense of humor, especially hilarious with his Chinese accent. Probably the fairest prof at NMU. Easy-going class always. Good time, take him for anything he teaches.

Nice guy, but nobody can understand what he's saying. First you have to master the language, and only then can you relate new ideas to other people. ex, Alpha is said "Arpha" and now kid's in class are saying "Arpha"... I mean c'mon!!!
