The only reason some students do not like him is because of his accent but he is a great Professor who is genuinely interested in their students. He gives very clear feedback and is a nice Professor. Just pay attention in class, ask him questions if you have any do all assignments. He is lenient and would give an extension if you ask.

Pros: Gong is knowledgable and has a lot of real world examples and provides homework/cases that reinforce the coursework. Cons: Disorganized, go's off topic often to complain about no participation. Lecture heavy, so quite boring and hard to sit through. One exam, two group cases, one project and 3-4 homework sets (about 10 questions each)

Professor Gong makes the course seem easier than it really is. He contradicts almost everything he lectures. Changes and adds homework problems a day or two the day before. Truly makes the entire course miserable. Only ONE test, which he does not hand out a study guide for. It's really unfortunate that he is the only professor for this course.

The worst professor in the Supply Chain program, nothing he teaches is any different than GSC 445 or MSD 340. He teaches the same material but makes absolutely no sense while teaching it. I feel his course is a waste of time and doesn't add to your knowledge. Just show up and don't listen. Do the homework and put it on your formula sheet.

Professor Gong is by far the worst professor I have ever had at Rider. I did not learn anything from him while taking this course. Gong's exams are impossible and his lectures are really hard to sit through. I was able to manage a B, but I taught myself the material. I don't understand how he still has a job.

People are being really hard on Gong, and you can see rate 5 to 1 on the website. So I am giving this rate to help you understand this class and him better. MSD 340 is a hard class which is very IMPORTANT to supply chain major. Gong is great teacher if you are really into supply chain. If you are other majors, you should avoid him. But he is great

Very responsible from emails if you have question(s). Although test it is tough but there are different areas make up each other to cover your whole grade. The class contexts are very interesting and useful. As my personal opinions. I think I've learned a lot.

So I had professor Gong for P&O and oh man was that a mistake. The first day of class he told everyone that he never had a semester where he did not fail any students for this course. He is so awful trying to explain problems in class and the homework has nothing to do with the exams. The best thing to do to prepare for his tests is to just pray.

Do your homework and go to class and that's all you basically have to do, make a study sheet he takes questions directly from the end of his power point things so copy those and the formulas. Really not that hard of a class

This guy doesn't teach math. He explains the nature of problems. You will understand if you have him. It's funny to listen to him say fordambo instead of for example.

This guy is thee absolute worst teacher you will ever have. It's an insult to the unemployed that this guy has a job. Poor English, poor teaching methods, will do problems and then midway through after someone points it out, realizes its totally wrong and will re do it. Impossible to learn one thing from this guy, be prepared to teach your self.

Gong knows his stuff but not good at explaining it. Be prepared to spend a lot of time outside of class reading the book. If you ask a question be prepared to be lectured that the math is elementary school math and he says he can do it in 5 min very condescending. Read the book, do the homework (answers are posted on blackboard) go to tutor @ pray

I took it in the fall 2009, so we had online HW which you could potentially get a 100% on, I ended up getting extra credit....anyways not a great math person ended up with an A-, literally worked my ass of for it....usually swung high 70's on tests, finished with 89.46 and he gave me an A- so I cannot say I hate the guy! class over is just HARD!

By far the worst prof in my many years at Rider.Does not communicate difficult material well, and gives confusing lecture notes from powerpoint.I went to every class, did the homework, and studied for exams and still just made it.How Rider is a good business school with this guy there I will never know.Avoid him at all costs. He should not teach!!!
