Literally the worst professor i have ever had in my college career as a chem major. If you have to take this course, just take the course off track when the actual professor is available. I had done well on quizzes and understood the homework, but his exams are literally impossible to solve. He often jokes around how student may get 0 on the exam..

His lectures are lengthy and dense, usually just reading from Tuckerman's notes. Homework is really long and difficult. Quizzes aren't hard if your TA does a review before you take them. I found the tests to be very difficult (others did not) and I somehow got an okay grade. He doesn't seem to actually enjoy teaching, often scolding students

Had done well on the quizzeshomeworks, studying is a must. The exams were still impossible, but they were only possible if the reading was done months in advance and every office hour was utilized to the fullest. Practice like its breathing and then the class is fine. There is no way to prepare for his questions though without intuition.

Thought I understood concepts and problems going into the exams. Had done well on the quizzes/homeworks. The exams were still impossible. There is no way to prepare for his questions.

This guy makes this class ridiculously hard. If you plan on taking it, make sure you brush up on you advanced math. The only way to do well on his exams is to show up to lecture because some of the questions he asks in class ends up on the test. Also, make SURE you repeat the HW questions until you know them like the back of you hand.

Took, loved, and did extremely well in Gen Chem, Orgo, Calc III, and Linear Algebra. Thought PChem was pretty neat, almost like a history chem class. Studied and understood concepts. Still could not do exam. He does not prepare you. Exams require you to derive all the concepts aka rewrite the textbook and problems from memory.

Awful. His lectures are useless because they are an exact iteration of what is in the textbook. His exams are ridiculously difficult and do not reflect what he teaches.

Take advanced math (i.e. linear algebra, calc 3) if you intend on understanding 1/3 of what he puts in his lecture notes.

Professor Bacic was clearly disinterested in teaching the course, and he ostracizes students for asking the wrong questions. He also makes office hours and then leaves for meetings during that time without letting students know. Overall, he butchered what could have been a very interesting class.

I had this professor way back in 1990 for Physical Chemistry I. He is probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had in my education. His idea of a lecture is to photocopy a chapter from a text book and read from it. Awful..just awful. Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks this way.
