Comment:
Rotella has been my least favorite econ prof. Her lectures focus more on history and women's studies than actual economics. Tests are difficult and most students fail quizzes. If you are interested in the subject matter then this is the class for you because we cover a TON, but if you have middling or iffy interest it's not good.

Prof Rotella is wonderful if you want to learn about econ and you're not expecting an easy A. She's so passionate about the subject and she puts in a lot of time to help students succeed. Office hours are helpful, and although she's not an amazing lecturer, she does a good job. Tests are very long and you have to know the material well to get an A.

Very good teacher. She knows her stuffs very well and is extremely enthusiastic. However, her tests are not easy, although they are usually logical (thus, "studiable". Study hard and you will get an A.

A very interesting professor. The class is definately hard, but it is manageable if you do the homework, go to class, and study for the tests. Thats it. You can pull off an A. The tests are very tough, and yes the wording of the questions is hard too.

She is without a doubt the worst teacher I have had in college so far. Her tests cover material that doesn't get explained in class, and her wording for the tests is impossible to comprehend. I would avoid getting her as a teacher. If you do get her, then you have to read the book to keep up with what is going on in the class.

Really hard class. Avoid taking it with her if at all possible. Her tests (particulary her "econ in the news" essays) are ridiculous. Her "jokes" suck. BUT... She'll help you a lot in office hours, and even though it may seem worthless, GO TO CL!!!

I disagree with everyone here. I learned more in this class than I did in all of my others this semester combined. The exams ARE hard, but only because they are long. Our class complained that they were too long and she cut out a whole portion from the next exam. Course is hard, but you learn a lot. Homework assignments are long.

I've had her for Women in Economy and U.S. Economic History. Wonderful teacher, tests are essay that make you draw knowledge about the 'big picture' of the class. Easy to do. I hardly went to class and did well. Highly recommended for Econ classes.

Comment:
Rotella takes attendance only to see if there is a correlation between going to class and skipping. Therefore, I never went, and still owned her dumb class. She thought she was above kids cutting class, but I showed her. I challenge you do the same.
