He is awful! Classes are boring, he makes you purchase the text book, yet he does not teach from it. His lectures are from his own experience with places he has gone. AWFUL! STAY AWAY

Overall a good instructor. Very knowledgeable and does a good job explaining key concepts. You must attend lecture if you plan on passing the class though. The material is pretty easy but 90% of the tests come from lecture. Ample opportunity for extra credit. No reason anyone should fail this course.

Could not recommended him less. Stay away. I'm an honors student, and found that Schroedl is very vague, words test questions just to trick students, and has no concept of grade or class management. He messed up 3 of my major grades, including final, and was very uncooperative in helping correct the errors. Recommend him to nobody

Extremely knowledgeable to the point that he will rant sometimes but he is a funny guy and generally tries to keep class upbeat. You definitely have to attend lectures and take good notes to do well on the exams, but with a little effort it's not that bad.

Dr. Schroedl's class is fairly easy as long as you attend the lecture. Lecture doesn't often have Powerpoint, so be prepared to take notes! Very helpful before the tests (which are usually all multiple choice and always have a few bonus opportunities). Overall a funny guy with a great interest and knowledge of his field.

He tries to make you laugh all the time. His class is a breeze as long as you go. Tests are super easy and he gives extra credit. Very passionate so he will talk the entire class!

The structure of the class was not very well designed, making the first half of the semester totally useless to anyone who isn't planning to be an archeologist. He's a pretty good teacher though. Jokes around, class is still boring as hell though most days.

He is a great professor. He is clear and extremely helpful as long as he knows you attend and care. His class is not hard to get an A in. As long as you are in class, it is a piece of cake. He is hilarious. I really dreaded this class until the first day when we met him. I definitely recommend this class!

Very flighty. He is very hard to keep up with in class, you never know for sure what exactly he is talking about, so taking notes is nearly impossible. Also, he is not understanding of emergency situations at all. I am an A student and he wouldn't even work with me when a very big family situation came up. I don't think he cares much about students

Skipped around in class a lot, it was hard to tell what he was talking about at any given time. He also is not very understanding of emergency situations.

Dr. Schroedl is funny and odd. I didn't have him for a class per se...field school. He's a little annoying and not always nice but has lots of stories and is very easy.
