Professor Jaeger is fantastic. The readings can be difficult if you are still working on mastering the language and they take a while read when you first start the semester. But they seem to get easier because you will learn so much from her! Pay attention in lecture, she almost always gives answers to tests/essays in her lectures quite clearly.

Jaeger makes you work for it, lecture and textbook heavy. Despite that, she will go above and beyond to make sure you understand the material. When in doubt, just ask.

Doctora Jaeger is an amazing professor! She explains the class material well and includes the historical background behind it. Unlike some other non-native Spanish professors, she has a wonderful accent. Her voice is pleasing, as weird as that might sound. Cant wait to take her Latin American Women Writers course in the fall!

Profesora Jaeger is a wonderful teacher. This is the second class I've taken with her and absolutely love her lectures. She makes the material easy to understand and is always available outside of class if you need additional assistance or accommodations. Attendance is mandatory for passing because the lectures are vital for exams.

She provides you with all the information for tests so as long as you understand everything she says, take good notes and do homework, you will get at least a B. She talks very fast though, so as a non-native speaker, I got about 60% of what she said. Ask questions and go to class!!!

This class really prepared me for future classes in the department. Dr. Jaeger does an amazing job making literature fascinating. The amount of work is what you would expect in a course of this type. There are several exams, so your grade does not depend on just a mid-term and final.

Class is extremely fast-paced and most students are confused during her lectures. Cancels class and office hours frequently. Gives you VERY limited time to take exams because she lectures on top of test days. Heaven forbid you miss one class due to a legitimate reason, she assumes youre dropping. Take a course with better instructor if possible.

Professor Jaeger is wonderful! I never knew I could be fan of literature until I took her class. Even on days when I went into class totally confused by the reading assignment, she led a rich discussion that left me feeling like I understood everything that I needed to. Get ready to read! This is a literature class, afterall!

She's a very nice and knowledgeable lady. Someone earlier said she's very politically biased and feminist. I didn't find that aspect at all. The class is very basic. It's like any other English composition class you took in high school or middle school except its in Spanish. I don't think it was too challenging.

She does her best to get everyone talking in class and tests are a breeze if you simply attend the class and take notes. There are mini papers assigned throughout the semester over readings but you recieve credit just for writing them. Overall she is a wonderful teacher but make sure if spanish doesn't come easy to limit your credit hours, its work

Just be aware that this is no slack off class. There is an extreme amount of reading and papers to write. She is also tough and won't put up with anyone's BS. If you are very committed to learning the language, she is probably a good fit. If you aren't as committed, you might want to steer clear.

this class was extremely difficult at first, but got easier to manage throughout the course. she is a fair grader, but there was a homework assignment/250 word paper at least that was due nearly every day. good class though.

Don't take her. This class is supposed to be about conversation but you get penalized for missing movies days especially when she doesn't show the whole thing in class. Take anyone else.

I enjoyed the class. Heavy on vocab, which is great for some, but not for others. Participate and do the work! She's a fair grader and really takes the time to show you how to improve. I learned a lot from the class and would definitely recommend.

Unorganized and no regard for students. Drops deadlines for over the weekend-like 6 page essay/paper due Monday! Canceled class a lot, never handed anything back, not even the midterm exam. The final grade in class was a mystery akin to sticking your hand in a cereal box and seeing what toy you happen to pull out. Very disappointing!

Total feminist. Gave all the guys a hard time and lower grades. Girls who never participated got higher participation grades. I had to appeal my grade and got it changed. You will learn a lot. That's how I knew my grade was subjective. Even after taking her class she gave me attitude in the hallways with smart comments. Acts like a child.
