Comment:
Professor Fellow was a pretty good teacher. 1 paper at the end of the term, 3 exams, weekly quizzes, weekly lectures. My only complaints are that he's doesn't respond to emails and his textbook is way too long. Each chapter is very dry and boring. Other than that, he was pretty good.

From my experience with Fellow, I recommend taking another professor. The class was easy but he obviously has a difficult teaching style. The material was clear but his grading was not. From my experience as a COMM major, I believe there are more understanding and less difficult profs at CSUF. Fellow can be unprofessional which affects his grading.

His tests are directly out of the book (suggest you get it through Kindle) yet I had to email him several times because his quiz answers didn't match with the text (he only corrected himself maybe twice). Lectures are fifteen minutes of stiff regurgitation of the book, you won't need to watch them. Vocal about his beliefs in his assignment comments

Professor Fellow is the worst professor Ive ever had. He is extremely disrespectful and inconsiderate of his students. Feedback I received on my final project was him saying that COVID is an excuse for students missing assignments (Although I was missing 0 assignments). He also decided the give me a 0 on a quiz I originally got 4/7. Dont take him

This class is mostly just weekly lectures and readings which isnt too hard. All the quizzes and tests were online so as long as you had the book you could get a decent score. Only one paper and its fairly easy with clear criteria. Super generous with rounding and curving.

This professor was one of the second worst I had taken at CSUF. He would require that students watch his weekly lecture videos and take weekly quizzes. He is a tough grader so if you don't do well on quizzes then expect a drop in your grade. He doesn't even allow you to check on your answers once you finished. He is a hard professor so be prepared!

I loved Professor Fellow's class! It was online, and there was a chapter check-up or chapter quiz each week. As long as you read the textbook, you will ace them. There are 3 exams, and they are open book/open notes. There is one paper, and it is very open-ended. He also responds to emails very quickly. Overall, I loved his class!

Its is very obvious that he loves teaching and his subject. He gives so many resources online and even some that are interactive in order to help you learn better. There is one quiz a week and three forums throughout the semester. There are 3 main tests. Overall, not an overwhelming class & good to take if you need more units with a heavy schedule

You basically have a quiz and lecture a week, but the lectures are so long, it's not even funny. He also does three exams and the class is based entirely on quizzes and exams. He only has three discussion boards that are worth three points, so basically nothing. The exams aren't easy either, get the book, but this class is a tougher one.

Professor Fellow is a pretty easy class. He's organized and straightforward. It's basically a quiz a week with a lecture, but the lectures are kinda pointless because all of the quiz questions come directly from the book. So, get the book and you'll be fine. He also does a few two-page activities, but they're fairly free to write what you want.

Took this class online in the Summer so do not know much about the professor in a classroom setting but he was always very quick to answer emails and post info on Titanium. It was a quick course because of the shorter term but still a lot of work. However it is easy to pass if you just do the minimum, he is very clear about assignments.

His online class is easy as long as you keep up on the readings(varies in length, always from textbook). Only three tests with checkup quizzes every week but they are all open note/book. I would take his online class again.

Unclear grading criteria for papers and projects. All over the place all the time. Reading, Two-page paper, and a quiz EVERY week. SO many group projects! Tried to talk to him about concerns with papers, gave sarcastic and rude answers. Why ask questions? He doesn't have answers. Hated class every week. Thinks he's the ish. He's actually the worst.

Every week you have to read a chapter write a two page paper (with VERY vague instructions) & will have SEVERAL group projects going on. He's extremely disorganized and scatter brained. He's very into himself & his "Tv" show, but doesn't provide any information you couldn't get from just reading. You're tested on specific & unimportant details.

Best Online class ever. Due dates were at noon every Monday, and it was consistent assignments. The tests are mostly from his book, and are almost word for word. Fellow made this history jeopardy game, and its really helpful. Has questions from the quizzes in there. If you do it, its an eassssssssy B. A is doable if you do just basic studying.

Professor Fellow is amazing! The class is super easy. There's weekly quizzes, a few discussion posts, and 3 tests that are extremely easy. I passed with an A and never listened to a single lecture or even read the book. I would highly recommend this class!

The tests require you know minute details and specifics from the text. His questions are in my opinion, overly specific. Get the online book so you can ctrl+f. The lectures had occasional errors which were confusing, and there were some questions on the quizzes and tests that looked like they were using out of date or incorrect information.

This was my first online class taken at CSUF and Dr Fellow has made it a great experience. He wrote the textbook and all the answers for the quizzes and tests come straight from the book. I enjoyed learning about media history throughout American history and his podcasts are a great way to have the material reinforced. Thank you Dr. Fellow!

I took COMM 425 online (summer) and Professor Fellow was quick to respond whenever I had a question. Everything on the checkups, quizzes, and exams came straight from the book. I would definitely take him again.

Taking this class online was 10x better than trying to take in class. All the test answers come from the book, literally every single one. There are checkup quizzes, exams, and then 'coffeehouse forums', as well as a few small extra credit surveys. (By the way, you can't get an A+ in this class unless your grade is OVER 100%)
