Worst prof I've ever had. He is really easy but is extremely rude and lacks clarity. Yes you will get a good grade but you will have to suffer for it.

I have little doubt that he is a philosopher...but he is a horrible teacher. Spaces out in class, very disorganized. His explanations are incomprehensible, weekly homework assigned is nearly impossible to do from his lectures. When examples are relevent, they are vague and far-fetched. His grammar is so terrible you can't understand meaning.

A bit hard to follow in lectures and his textbook he makes you use is hard to follow as well. Weekly assignments are required, but are pretty straightforward.

This guy is very nice and knows his**** inside out.. but he is very dis organized when it comes to teaching. all over the place and he has the "I am always right" mentality. Athiest.. His book is a piece of****.. so hard to follow. Tests are easy if you just study.

Comment:
Hard to follow his thinking sometimes. Has a difficult time explaining the subject in different ways when the class doesn't understand. Instead he'll just re-read the textbook aloud or refer us to it. Textbook is written by him and is therefore also confusing and must be re-read several times. Tests are fair and homework assignments are short.

Comment:
Class should be called "Critical Wisdom" instead of Crit. Thinking. Only briefly touched on the tools of crit. thinking; most of the time was spent talking about wisdom, universal love, fulfillment and etc... He's also not very clear in his explanations, and you might get bored pretty quickly. Tests are relatively easy, if you've read the text.

Comment:
He doesn't give straight or coherent answers to questions, doesn't teach in a clear or structured manner, and isn't the kind of philosophy professor who encourages openmindedness in philosophy -regardless of what he says. Seemed to have superficial interpretations of the material. Class was incredibly easy though. Take it.

seemed like a nice guy to most students but seemed very rude to me even though i didn't even do anything to the man. he marks really easy but is hard to follow in class and goes way off topic. i took this religion and science class with him yet only 2% of it was related to religion at all.

I love Leonard! His class was relatively difficult but not if you read the test and paid close attention, asking questions during class. The reason a lot of people were mystified every now and then by digressions was because its philosophy! how clear cut can you be? He's amazing! Homework mostly easy, tests more than fair, attendance mandatory

Good teacher, nice guy. We did not use a textbook, so it was rather important to attend class to get the worksheet, which was written in hard-to-read english, although he was more than willing to explain any confusing sections. We had to take turns reading which was fairly elementary. If you're interested in Phil, I would definately recommend hi

Awful is the kindest word I can use. I took this class to learn about Asian Philosophy, but instead was mystified about the 3 hour long conversations about Quantim Physics. Doesnt take anyone's comments seriously and will shoot you down one by one. Bottom line, his opinion is the only one that is right and you are always wrong. Awful class

Very nice teacher and a easy marker who marks you on your contents. If you attend all the class and hand in your assignments, they are worth marks and also if you do well on your exams. You will get a pretty high mark. Take him, if you want a GPA booster.

Leonard Angel is nuts. Didn't learn anything from this class. You will do well if you somehow are able to comprehend the **** he spews your way AND agree with it. EASY marker, except **he gives you 0.1 marks off on tests for each spelling and grammer mistake!** GPA booster, but if you want to learn, keep away!
