This was one of the best courses I've taken in the MBA program yet. Although it was a little hard due to the abundance of information we learned in 6 weeks, Salehizadeh makes it interesting by showing recent articles related to the topic. Despite the difficulty of the class, I would highly recommend the course.

I loved Salehizadeh! Yes, his tests were extremely difficult but they were all curved so as long as you put in some effort, you will pass. It was so nice to finally have a finance professor at SDSU who was passionate about what he taught, was able to give examples that related to current events, and could communicate effectively despite the accent!

I really enjoyed this class. His lectures were interesting and FULL of relevant, current examples and articles. He was very entertaining and funny as well. I also felt like he respected his students and spoke with us in a very kind/polite way. Tests were open book/note/laptop but were still sort of hard. Just take good notes, read and go to class.

Tests are extremely difficult. Everyone fails, so hope the curve brings you up. Moves way too fast, and he is usually the only one to understand the material. Awful.

Three tests, one project. Everyone gets 100% on the project if you aren't an idiot. The class goes over a lot of calculus, so if you're bad at math/calc then you probably won't do too well. However Mehdi knows his stuff, he's the finance head and he's a good guy to know. He's funny in class and very willing to help in office hours. I got a B+.

By far the toughest Finance class. A bunch of calculus. Failed every tests. Got a 37percent on a test after the curve turned out to be a C-. Class is extremely hard, moves super fast. He doesn't teach he expects that you already know the stuff so he flys through the material.

Great and interesting professor. I took him over summer and it wasn't too bad for a 6 weeks grad school course. 2 exams open book, open notes 3 hrs long and you WILL need the 3 hrs (100 T/F questions and 25 problems)! The exams are pretty hard, but the curve is high, which helps. 2 individual papers that are data based. I would take him again.

Great professor. Very knowledgeable about the subject. However, he talks very fast and it is hard to keep up with his in class problems. Book is terrible, but you need to read it. Go to his office hours and work hard, and you will do fine. Also, there is a huge curve at the end.

Very knowledgeable professor, finance department chair. He is a crack up in class and keeps you interested even during a 4 hour class, great at presenting real life relevance of topics. GO to class, bring a 3-hole punch for all the papers he hands out, and study. He is a heavy curver so dont panic. Overall, an enjoyable class, I would take it again

Great professor and great class. Really kept me interested through the 4 hour long summer course. Tests and assignments are easy, but that causes a problem with the curve. I got a 90 in the course; thought it would be an A- but with the curve a 95 ended up being an A-. Beware of this and stay on top of the curve or be happy with a B.

His problems are ridiculous! They r soo easy in the class, and on the test he manges to make way harder. Also, he doesn't curve at the end! Many students were just kissing his...u know, maybe that's what u need to do to get your grade curved at the end!I was disappinted with my grade but I passed. Many were gettin Fs.I guess he failed them.

Good class, but tough because Professor Salehizadeh moves very quickly. Problems can be tricky too. Go see A. Tutor consistently, and you should do well. (I did and earned an A- in the class.)

Excellent Professor. Really knows his stuff. Lectures can be boring at times, but he keeps it fun with his dry humor and off-the-cuff jokes. I took this class the same semester I took ACCTG 321 so I didn't study more than reviewing the notes and in-class problems the morning before the exams and did good (A-).

4 tests. 1/2 problems and the other 1/2 T or F from readings and lectures. Need to know the problems well and visit him in his OH for further explanations, since at times he goes over them quickly. He bashes every country and finishes virtually each sentence with god bless.

Professor Salehizadeh's Finance 321 and 329 classes were among the easiest Finance classes I have ever had. Virtually no outside work required for either. You're crazy if you take anyone else. You should have no need for private tutoring.
