I went into this class loving physics, but now I kind of hate it. Rather than clarifying and expanding on concepts which I already understood from high school, his lectures left me confused about subjects I thought I had down. Lectures are very math-based, with little conceptual explanation. I would avoid, unless that suits your learning style.

Weekly quizzes were from hw so understand hw problems. Lecture was very dull and tests were kind of hard. Very generous with partial credit though if you go in and talk to him during OH (if he didnt already fix it with regrade). Huge curve helps a ton.

This teacher is the best physics teacher I've had (he's also the only physics teacher I've had). Nevertheless, he understands that his tests are hard so the curve he made was very generous throughout the course. He is definitely one of the nicest physics teachers and he is funny and smiles plenty. Good professor.

Cole's class is doable if you have a basic understanding of the material going into lecture. His quizzes are pretty tough--it took most people about 10 min to figure out what he was asking for. The lectures have lots of demos, but are still pretty dull. The final was mostly conceptual and much easier than the quizzes.

Very helpful in problem solving sessions. Lectures are dull though and pretty much unrelated to the hw or exams. At least there's no mastering physics hw, just weekly quizzes based on suggested hw. Overall, I recommend

I took physics in HS so i didn't need to look at the book too much, as his lectures were very clear and precise. He didn't do too many proofs, but did examples, which in my eyes helped me on how to solve the problems. His tests were hard b/c he required us to use understand how to solve the problems, but they were not unsolvable

Absolutely excellent physics professor! He holds problem solving sessions where he goes through any homework problems you ask him to. He is very good at breaking down complicated concepts, and his demonstrations in class are enjoyable. Would highly recommend taking any of his classes!

He is a good teacher for sure! Hard exams but try not to over complicate them, they actually are simplier than they appear. he allows one page cheat cheat, very helpful outside of class as well. friday quizes so go to lecture on fridays.

Great professor. He's one of the few prof that truly cares about his students. He hosts workshops and co-physics class (VERY HELPFUL) at the Learning Skills Center. Exams are sort of difficult... but he does his best to prepare you. There are weekly quizzes which consist of a question from the optional homework.

Great teaching ability, and he certainly knows his stuff. Quizzes were doable, but I thought the tests were challenging (maybe I should've done a few more homework problems). However, his weekly HW solving session was a great resource for clearing some of the confusion. For in-depth Physics lectures, take Cole. For an easier grade, try Savrasov.

Great professor! his lectures are pretty clear, but not all covered material in lectures is in text. Tests are very fair, allows 1 page cheat sheet for tests. Highly recommended!

I found him to be extremely boring. Lectures were hard to stay awake in. He's quite monotone. Lectures consisted of him proving physics formulas, then perhaps a small demonstration at the end. Tests were fun and easy, but I got the high score on the first midterm, so I might be biased. He allows full 8.5x11 anything-goes cheat sheets on tests!

Cole is the most amazing professor I've ever had. I took phy9A,B and C with him and loved every minute of it. His lectures are clear cut and math based. He covers all the necessary topics and adds humor to the otherwise boring physics lectures. Great professor!

He's not very familiar with the 7 series, so it's not very "continuous" with the class material. He seems nice, his quizes ranged from easy to impossible (using uncovered material). Overall OK if you're good with Physics.

Not a bad professor, sometimes he goes over things really fast.. but his quizzes aren't too bad, the class mostly depends on your TAs. But Professor Cole tries and he teaches his students fun ways to remember certain concepts. Take him if you can

Cole is the man! Best physics teacher ever. Not like satan Kiskis. He teaches well and is very helpful, although his lectures are more math based. Otherwise fantastic teacher!
