Mahnaz is a wonderful person and I really loved her classes. I wouldn't say it's a hard but it is a lot of material that you have to keep up with and she does curve down a little bit. Otherwise, she is really helpful in office hours and really cares about students!

Professor Mahdavi explained all the concepts really clearly in class but the pace was a little too fast. Whenever I had questions, she answered them and provided me with some useful study strategies. Her class does not give much homework or extra practice, so you have to study on your own outside of the problem sets.

Her style is not for everyone so really make sure it works for you. Hardest part of the class is knowing when to use what formula as they are all provided. She gives out previous midterms and answers with steps as practice which are super helpful. If you understand why the formula was used in each problem, youll do great! If not, youll struggle.

She is one of my role-models, so inspiring and dedicated, always encourages students to be intelligent and ambitious women . She always dressed in black, dark blue, grey etc, which is exactly how professionals dress. Her class is very clear and efficient, problem sets are helpful. And the group research did help me to learn so much more.

As a last word, regarding the fact that she was also the one help me in my decision to transfer to another school in Philadelphia, I found those professors here are extremely helpful and friendly more than her in numerous ways. "Thank" Prof. Mahnaz Mahdavi for these past couple of years.

Secondly, her test are patently absurd, regarding the range of material to cover and problem sets which, indeed, had nothing to do with the exams. Thirdly, all of the comments here mainly praised how well she dressed up that I found amusing as it has nothing to contribute in evaluate her teaching methods as well as her half-assed characteristics.

This professor is the reason I became an economics major. Very interesting and energetic. Makes learning the material fun and worthwhile. Generally an easy class, although the tests are a bit more difficult than the problem sets.

One of the most enthusiastic and engaging professors I've had. The class is fairly straightforward but she has high expectations. If you do all the work she suggests and keep up with the material, she makes it simple to get a good grade. She is also incredibly helpful in office hours.

The best thing about prof. Mahdavi is that she curves. I did bad on my first exam but well on other two, and I ended up with an A. She's very clear in class, but her office hours are usually crowded.

AMAZING professor. She makes economics easy [at least in the introductory class] and she explains everything magnificently. Just make sure you don't miss any classes. That's the best way to understand the material and receive a good grade.

I think she tries to make things clear but it is just the opposite. Her lectures are very unclear, she gives material discussed in the next chapters earlier making it impossible to understand what it is going on.I often had to make a Google search to understand the terms she was discussing in class and were not written in the textbook.

I love professor Mahdavi, but she made corporate finance unapproachable. Her lectures were unclear, making the problems sets very hard. Coupling this with her unhelpfulness in office hours created a unnecesarily difficult course.
