A good teacher and willing to help all students, just be kind and courteous the man is 80 something years old and has dedicated his life to helping others, also laugh at his jokes, he'll grade you on a curve.

This is a lecture-based class, and I was entertained. I love history, however. There were only two grades for the class: the midterm and the final, which are easy if you do the readings and attend class. Dr. Flayhart is a genuinely nice professor and cares about his students. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Flayhart was an outstanding professor who would do anything for his students who put in time. It is only sad that their are not more teachers like him around. Best teacher ever
