This course was simple. We met on zoom once a week to go over our next assignment. One assignment a week, a few 2 question quizzes, and no final. I LOVED Dr. Valdez! He rubbed me wrong at the beginning but be patient! When you get to know him he is so caring, passionate, and helpful. Provides great advice and support for future teachers!

He clearly did not know how to adapt this class for online learning and instead of actually giving information that pertained to homework/tests, focused on telling his experiences as a teacher the ENTIRE lab time.50 solid minutes of him talking about how to apply for credentials or bad students. No late work no consideration for COVID19 victims!

Take his class! By far one of the best professors I have had. So caring and helpful. The assignments he gives are NOT hard you really just have to communicate with him. He always finds a way to make things easier. We do have 2 question quizzes due from readings but they are all due at the end of the semester. Easy A! I LOVED this class!!!

Easy class. Lots of group and partner work, like every day and for major projects. Text is online and you will be using it a lot. Do not miss class even if someone in your immediate family dies, you will be marked down attendance points. If you need this for credential program just take the workshop.

I feel so fortunate to have taken his class. It's a really fun & easy class! Dr. Valdez also cares about his students and their success. He's available at his office hours if you're unsure about how to do an assignment. He's truthfully the best Professor I've had at Sac State and I'm graduating this semester. 10/10! take him!

Had Valdez for secondary education. 90 percent of your grade is based on building a binder for a school year curriculum. Choose wisely who you sit with on the 1st day as this will be your group for the semester. Start a group chat. Valdez can be unclear on assignments as he expects you to look online for instructions. Ask if you are ever confused.

He is the greatest! He talks a lot about his teaching experience and provides useful information about the process in becoming a teacher. The exams are multiple choice and he lets you have a cheat sheet. ALL of the assignments are easy to do, this class was a breeze.

Ok, Lindy is a great professor. He cares about his students ALOT, like he wants to keep relationships with the students and really get to know you. If he sees you on campus he will sit down and grab a starbucks with you. That's just the kinda guy Lindy is. Caring, a man of fashion, whole heartedly loves his job.

super sweet man. very knowledgeable about the education field, super experienced. lectures are fun, not too much busy work. assignments take effort + a little bit of research. pretty strict on attendance, you get 3 freebie absences, if its more it will severely impact your grade. lab part of the class is always pretty fun!

Professor Valdez was truly an amazing professor. As long as you show up for class and make sure that you are on time(exactly on the dot or he will mark you tardy), you're totally good. His assignments are easy and he give a solid full credit as long as it's done. He is passionate about what he teaches and is totally there for his students!

Great professor! Don't skip class too much. If you go over what he allows, your grade will suffer! Just follow the rubric and it'll guarantee an A on basically all of what he assigns. Knock the quizzes out in a few sittings, you don't have to worry about them for the rest of the semester. Go to review days He gives all the answers on the exam!

Best professor I have ever had. Inspirational, funny and caring. I learned more about life in this class than any other. He knows all the students by name. He comes a half hour early just so he can sit and talk with students. Oh and I learned a ton. Very fun movement classes. Returns work next day and answers emails. He set example for teaching

100% would take again. 5 online quizzes: two ?'s each, no time limit, & can use book. 1 presentation but everyone hangs their poster in the gym and half the class walks around and looks at it. Make sure you dont save the curriculum project for last, it takes long. DO PEER TEACH+Diet analysis for required work,Easy A's. Two tests but can use 1 notes

Amazing professor. Seriously cares for all his students and wants them all to succeed. Pretty easy class. He allows one page of notes for his tests, online quizzes through the book website so the book is required, two lesson plans which are simple, two special projects, and a research poster. Just prioritize your time and you'll be fine.

One of the most influential professors I've had. Not only did I enjoy the class material, but he made me feel like what I was doing was purposeful. If you skip class, you won't pass. The online textbook is mandatory because the quizzes are a part of the book, but he makes the class easy to pass. Highly recommend taking him!

He genuinely cares about his students. He remembers everyone's names and details about their lives, and he has 5 sections of this class with at least 30 students in each class. I love his grading system. 100 points is the total for all assignments and exams, no extra credit. Also very knowledgeable about becoming a teacher and credential programs.

This man truly cares about his students and their success! I've learned more about becoming a teacher from this course than I have in any of my CHDV or EDUC courses. You must be on time & attend class! Every 2 tardies count as 1 absence. 5 absences 1 letter grade dropped. Easy quizzes, 2 open note exams, and a VERY fun lab! The course is worth it
