She's a great professor overall if you willing to work and read the weekly articles. Three papers which take you somewhat work. It's an easy A if you do all the work required. The only downside for me is the quizzes even if you read it. Her questions are pretty random.

There is a quiz every week based on readings that do not relate to class work. She drops the lowest 2 quizzes. There are a few essays but all of them are based on your opinion. You have to do a small power point with pictures. She tries to keep the class engaged with little jokes. She also gives you the questions on the final. Easy A.

I wish I could take her class again. She LOVES PLANTS, is super funny and very straightforward. Has weekly quizzes on readings online, just read them and you'll do fine. She drops 2 lowest quiz grades. Easy final project and take lots of notes, her rambles are important for the final. TAKE HER, BEST SCIENCE CLASS.

This woman made my first semester. She is absolutely incredible. I wish I could take her every semester. There's some work and quizzes every week but everything is pretty easy. Just do what you have to and you'll be fine.

Her lessons are kinda interesting sometimes. Quizzes are easy if you read the readings carefully. No textbook required. No research papers and just one project at the end of the semester. She's also easy in grading papers.

She is so hilarious. I can't remember a class where I didn't smile or laugh. Her quizzes are a little tricky. But as you continue taking them you learn how to read for important information. She really cares about her students and learns everyone's names. No textbook for her class, just online articles that she provides links to. Very Organized.

There are short weekly quizzes based off of multiple articles she assigns as readings. The quizzes can hurt your grade for sure, however, if you stay on top of readings and do well on various other assignments, you'll be fine. Overall, she is a really good professor, very knowledgeable.

I had Dr. Flannery and I must say I more than respect her. She is very knowledgeable, intense and demanding, but I learned more than I thought I would. She is approachable if you are respectful and serious. I never missed class and participated when asked. I earned a B, which was fair and I was happy with it. Overall, very good Professor who cares.

Great lady. Great prof. for the most part. Maybe I was the one unlucky student. Multiple times, when I said something to her, she would say something back that would embarrass me in front of the class. You have to read two or three LONG articles just to take a quiz with 5 questions. Feel free to take her class. Just try not to say anything.

She's funny and has a fun class but weekly quizzes are annoying and can easily bring down grade. When you write essays she doesn't give 100% even though it is deserved and her essays are so easy I dont understand why I wouldn't be getting 100%s

A good professor. She claims to be "not a nice person," but its just because she doesn't babysit like some other frosh prof. There are 3 600 word essays, weekly quizes, a portfolio, and a final. Essays=easy. Class=boring, but come to get the notes/study weekly readings to pass the 5 ? quizes each week. Take all 3 quizes, omit 3 lowest scores.

Great Professor! Truly knows what she is teaching, and she has a passion for it. She is very compassionate and caring about the class, as long as you do your work, and come to class. Easy class to pass, and lots of fun. You will make great friends too.

Her quizzes are ridiculous and almost impossible to pass. She is unreasonable and rude and almost impossible to deal with. Grades are completely unrelated to how well you do in the class. To be honest, I'm not sure what the grades are based on, because the final grades did not make any sense for anyone in the class.

She does quizzes on article readings every week, that has nothing to do with the classwork text. She can be unclear sometimes, but is generally helpful and reasonable to student's opinions. She entertains the class with her goofy sense of humor. Workload isn't too bad, and all the text materials are distributed electronically

gives quizzes every week on pointless readings that are hard to understand (dont' have to spend $ on a textbook) but she's very helpful. & a very nice lady! two easy papers, no midterm, easy project and easy final so (despite the quizzes) your grade won't tank.

agree with person below me- useless and a waste of money. She entertains with wind-up toys and pics of her dog. Quizzes every week which are based off pointless articles and the questions are on the most specific, stupid details. Goes off on tangents easily, you will not learn anything except to USE A CONDOM!

shes really nice, but it is definitely a useless class and a waste of money. If you can stay away from it try to if not its not the end of the world. She gives you quizzes every thursday on articles that have nothing to do with what you learn in class. The quizzes are only five questions , but detailed on stupid dates like when is darwans bday

Quiz every week, midterm and final, and term project (was really easy and fun). Very friendly/funny. She'll remember who you are. Unconventional way to teaching Scientific Inquiry and I enjoyed it.
