She gives outlines that are basically the tests word for word. She also tells anecdotes with most explanations on the outline. The outline isn't 100% from the book, so buying my book was a waste of money. She's funny and definitely an easy A. It was a good 101 class. She knows what she's talking about and won't hesitate to solve your confusion.

Good Teacher. She is full of stories of past students and uses them to connect to the topic. Gives a complete outline of every definition in that section, so you dont have to read the book. Tests are directly from the outline as well.

Easy A, although I essentially taught myself. The lectures were just going through the test study guide and having other students answer. She's a nice lady but I didn't learn anything new and she's a bit disorganized. I never went to class either and didn't read from the book. Just fill out the study guide before the tests and you'll be fine.

She uses great examples for all the material on each outline, so there's minimal studying involved if you pay attention. She sometimes forgets/mixes up due dates and assignments so beware of that. You'll have to write a few papers- Don't buy the book!! You never use it

Easy A but don't let that fool you. Go to class, listen and you'll pass. Did not use textbook, :she provides outlines for each test but make sure you understand the concepts. Do minimal studying, listen in class and you'll pass. Most of the examples she uses in class to describe concepts are used in the test SO LISTEN!!

Marie is the cutest thing. She's passionate and tries her best to make sure everyone understands the material. She sends everyone a quiz outline and as long as you can memorize the outline, you'll pass the class, even if you never show up. Also, DO NOT get the textbook. She says you need it, but I never touched it.

If you want an easy A but to also learn, any class by Clev is a must. I've taken three classes with her (including the 488 internship), and it's been awesome every time. She's so sweet and cares so much about her students. She also offers an insane amount of extra credit and gives very detailed study guides so there's zero reason to not pass.

She creates outlines for the section and then just teaches off the outline, just reads it off in class and gives examples. This is how she reviews for tests as well, just asking questions instead.

This class was very easy, 4 easy tests that covers everything from an outline that she gives in class and review before the test. You have a final assignment to turn in at the end of the semester that includes: 3 journal entries and the corrections of the previous tests as extra credit. Only use the outline and we didn't use the book.

She is a great person to listen to and if you just show up for lectures, you can be completely prepared for the tests. She is somewhat unstructured when it comes to papers though.

A very easy class. The tests are based on the outline she sends via email before each of the three tests. The lectures are usually the same content that is inside the outline, she only adds examples and clarification. She never takes attendance and the grade is based off of three tests and optional extra credit. Never used the textbook.

This is one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. It was 3 tests, 3 papers. Professor Clevenger provides students with an outline before each test with the information that will be on the test. If you just read over that a couple times and go to the review class the day before the test, you'll pass easy. She offers lots of extra credit also.

Her lectures have very little structure, but they are straight to the point about what to expect on exams. In addition to that, the exams are EXTREMELY easy and she gives outlines right before the test that explain every single thing that you need to know. If you're looking for an extremely easy and non-mandatory-attendance class, take hers.

Marie is the best professor at UNM and we are very lucky to have her! She is absolutely there for her students and really goes that extra mile. I wish I could take her for ever sociology class. She is very knowledgable and is willing to work with you. Hands down the best professor at UNM!

Dr. Clevenger was very easy to understand and her outlines were very helpful when it came to studying for the tests. There were only 3 tests in this class, no other homework or assignments, but she lets you do test corrections and will let you do a presentation for extra credit points. Easy A, definitely take Sociology 101 from her!

Professor Clevenger is nice and is willing to help if you ask. She also gives a couple of extra credit opportunities. Sometimes she seems all over the place, but her lectures are engaging. It may seem that her class is repetitive, but it's helpful when it comes to exams. Overall it is a good class, and she is a good instructor.

Comment:
Obscenely easy. Only structure is an outline for each exam. Rambles constantly, turns every class into a political discussion. I went to class probably 10 times over the course of the semester. If you have taken any sociological theory classes, this will be an easy course.
