AWESOME!!!! if you want to learn something and make A at the same time then this is the right professor for you. 4 map quizzes, 3 tests and 1 project paper from the book (pick your own chapter) but no need to freak out about the paper, it's doable. Take her and move on.

Professor Streater is truly one of the best professors Ive encountered at Collin. Her lectures and material is clear and to the point, and she is incredibly passionate about history. If you study, her exams are easy, and the map quizzes are an easy A. I wish more professors were like her!

She makes the class fun and interesting, but her tests are unreasonable. Yes you get a review, but is broad. I do not understand why anyone would need to learn 30 key terms (with a paragraph definition) only for her to use 5 on the exam. If you're a history major, absolutely. Her class hurt my GPA even with me putting in the work.

Amazing professor! A few map quizzes, one paper, final exam is not cumulative. Exams are tough, 25 multiple choice 5 paragraph questions, but if you go to class, take notes & read you will do fine. She is funny, approachable & loves what she does. Very intelligent & all around great professor. Wish I could have taken her for 1302!

Dr. Streater is good! She is passionate about history. I learned at lot in her class. She gives 4 tests for the year; final is not cumlative. You have to write like 4 papers the whole semester. She does Discovery Days that are mandatory and then you go home and write about what you learned. The exams are half multiple choice, half open answer.

I loved Dr. Streater but her tests are tough!! 25 multiple choice questions (not too difficult) and then 5 short answer questions that come from key terms in the textbook. There are about 30+ key terms you have to know even though only 5 will be on the exam. Loved the passion she has for history, she is hilarious and makes lectures not so dry.

she is an amazing person but her class is really hard. She usually gives us around 20-30 keyterms that we have to go through for a short answer on a test. Only 7-8 of them are out!! We also have to go through the powerpoints and read the textbook. Her test review is too wide. Tried my best and only got a B. don't take her if you hate reading.

I really enjoyed Professor Streater's class. I don't normally like History, but her enthusiasm for the subject made it much more interesting. Her grading criteria is consistent, and clear. There's only three tests, and they are all really easy if you study. I highly recommend taking History 1301 from Professor Streater.

I absolutely adore Dr. Streater. She really loves history and makes you love it, too! She's high energy, kind, funny, and will work with you if you have problems with anything. She's honestly one of my all time favorite professors. You do have to work for your grade. Tests aren't easy. But if you take good notes and study it's not impossible.

350 characters are not enough for Dr. Streater. I took her for 1301 and I wish that every professor I ever took had her passion for their subject matter. I have always hated history and for the first time in my life, I got an A+ in a history class. She is phenomenal. She makes you work but I actually walked away with retained information.

My favorite professor! Test questions are directly from the notes and she tells you exactly what to study. If you fail, it's because you don't try. She is very knowlegdable about history. Definitely buy the textbook; projects and test questions both come from it. I took her for 1301 and I signed up for 1302 right away.

I don't like History but she made it very interesting. I loved lecture, she adds humor. There is a lot of writing, always essay questions on exams, and she grades hard. If you take notes in class and do the review you can get a good grade.
