Comment:
I took "Media and Memory" with him; great class. Prof. Williams is very passionate about the course and the materials. I just took it to fill a requirement but it ended up being my favourite this semester. I thought his marking was fair and he gave excellent feedback. Only complaint is he has a rather quiet voice; sit near the front if you can.

Took "Milton and the Levelers" Amazing prof, so damn excited about everything he teaches that you just can't help but be excited with him. Clear, concise, willing to explain himself and translate his horrific handwriting for you. Can't wait to be in his class again.

This prof made me truly love novels, that the first time I read them, found mundane. He has an ability to bring these stories to life. Bring something to keep you awake and attentive, as he has a lulling voice. I found a thermos of coffee to sip kept me fully awake, and aware.

He was so incredibly kind, patient and helpful.100% approachable and will spend as much time as necessary to make certain that your questions are answered. I relished every second with him.FANTASTIC

I took a class with Dr. Williams in Summer Session 1988. I was an adult student who had been out of school for many years, but his help and encouragement then prepared me well for my undergraduate and graduate programs. Because of that great start with Dr. Williams I was able to have a wonderful career as an educator and writer.

The Canadian Postmodern novel was the class I took with him. I want to echo everything other people have said: he got me to see these novels in completely new ways. So brilliant. Drink some serious coffee before his class, because his voice tends to lull you to sleep - and you don't want to miss it!

Never seen a prof take apart a text like Williams. Breathtaking knowledge, almost to the point of inhuman. Made me love Findley. Expects alot from students which is always nice. Pack a lunch and be ready to listen, the man can TALK but you will learn.

A brilliant professor with great talent for interpreting a text. Very approachable and gives consideration to individual student needs. You will learn a lot from this prof, though his thorough knowledge of texts may limit original response or thought.
