There is obviously a lot of homework since it's a math class. There were four tests total which were split with the written test (proctored) and an extra assignment. The lectures are kind of all over the place but my classmates and the textbooks were life savers. I struggled but somehow ended up okay.

He was always late to class. I feel like he was teaching too many classes and maybe that stressed him out. Buy the textbook online for a lot cheaper. He wasn't the best at teaching but he does give extra credit and has a schedule so you know what is due and when. He is a very nice person and I can tell he has a lot of passion for statistics!

Online statistics class with him. He loves this subject, but can't teach it. Broken English doesn't help. We use 4 online programs and with his zoom lectures he keeps flipping from one program to another to copy and paste into his lecture notes on one note which gets very confusing at times. He goes off on tangents while lecturing. NOT Recommended

Professor Gustavo is really good for Linear Algebra. Every exam has a test portion (70%) and a project portion (30%). We have homework every week. The homework is more difficult than the projects and the projects are more difficult than the tests (I think, so far). He is very patient and he likes questions during Zoom lectures and office hours.

Took him inspite of a bad review, but honestly don't regret. Its an easy class. 3 exams and comprehensive final. Exam 1 is basic logic, the rest are all proofs. Hard to follow his accent at first, but you'll get used to it. Overall easy class.

I had Discrete Math with Profesor Gustavo now during Fall 2020. He used Zoom. This class was a great course. My favorite class in college, so far. I had a very low expectation for discrete math, but Cepparo made the class very interesting with lots of comments about applications. The exams are fair.

Discrete Math with professor Gustavo was my favorite class this semester. He is very clear with concepts during our Zoom classes. Cepparo also wrote every proof step by step by step! Every exam has two parts. A project (30%) and a test (70%). Also, from exam 2 till the final almost every question is a proof. The final exam has three parts.

Prof. Cepparo is a decent choice. I find it hard to pay attention to his lectures sometimes, but that could just be me getting tired from sitting at my computer all day due to the pandemic. His Discrete Math class isn't super hard, though I do find he docks points for mistakes somewhat heavily on exams. He's also somewhat slow to respond to emails.

I had professor Gustavo for Linear Algebra during Spring 2020. The exams were ok and the homework took a lot of time. We had applications in dimension reduction and SVD. The textbook was hard, but the lectures were clear. I recommend this course with this instructor.

Honestly he is a very cool guy, makes the class laugh here and there BUT he tends to talk really really fast and connects everything together like you won't even know your talking about something else if nobody asks. Also we were behind most of the time , we would be doing test 2 and should have taken test 3 by now. Get the book, its your friend!

Very nice instructor for statistics. You have a formula sheet for each exam. He explains problems and concepts step by step. You have to study and work with the software StatKey and the online textbook. Lots of homework and projects. Some extra credit.

I had professor Cepparo during the spring last year for Discrete Math. He is a great professor for this class. We worked on proofs for approx. 80% of the semester. He is very patient and repeats the concepts or definitions many many times in different ways. It was easy to take Discrete II at Texas State after Gustavo's course.

The professor may be really good, but the class was way too fast for me. I did good on the homework, but failed the first test despite studying and participating in class. I tried to communicate with the professor, but he never returned my email, or called me to help me out. Since the class was a 5 week course, I dropped it after 2 weeks. Tough!!!

Prof. Cepparo is really nice and caring, passionate about teaching. His lecture is kind of slow to me but he explained the questions in details. Do the HW and review before test you will get an easy A. Lots of extra credits. After switching to online, hw had less question but weights more than before but it doesn't hurt.

Professor Cepparo is a great choice for linear algebra. The material is abstract, however, Gustavo makes it navigable. He brings a great attitude to every class, he really cares about math and his students. He does grade a little harsh when it comes to notation. Overall, Id say hes a great option to consider if you have to take linear algebra.

Great class and great environment to learn. Gustavo is the best in making everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. Was the most adaptable during the trying times of Covid-19. Overall Linear Algebra was super fun and challenging. Definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had.

Mr. Cepparo, was an excellent instructor. After the change due to corona virus, I feel like he didn't miss a beat to provide exceptional instruction over zoom. I have never taken a stats class before and he made the learning process understandable and very interesting.

I had Gustavo for Statistics (hybrid) Math 1342. The lectures had nice examples. You can see he gets really happy talking about statistics. The course is not easy. He drops one exam. I highly recommend Cepparo.
