Professor Johnson has taught me so much. I am so grateful to have had her during Covid times. She is super accessible even during her online classes. I wish I could've had her in person. She also really cares about her students and wants you to get a good grade. However, she is a tough grader and will make sure you are doing your absolute best

Lots of videos, essays and lots of reading (too many books to buy). Quizzes were easy but then you have to do many essays (sometimes 4-6). Communication is very good but you have to do lots of work every day. There is extra credit but it isn't enough. THIS CLASS IS SURE TO BE AVOIDED IF YOU DON'T WANT TO NOT HAVE A COMPLEX LIFE AND STRESS OUT!!!

Cant understand what is gained from cheeky commentary that doesnt help improve the quality of my work at all. It is my understanding that a teacher is to be supportive and offer constructive criticism. The harsh attitude alone is enough to deter a student but add the insufficient clarification of instructions and a class is sure to be avoided.

I took her Honors English 102 and it was AMAZING. We did a lot of reading in a short period of time, but what else do you expect for an English class? If you submit a paper to her before the due date, she provides good feedback for a chance to improve. She does sometimes give pop quizzes, but all the answers were discussed that same class session.

She is worst. I took her in summer 2019. Firstly, she was never on time. Secondly, she talkssss toooo much but not about the topic. She gave us tooo muchhh homework. In one day, she tries to cover half of the book. She never thinks if somebody is struglling with the english or essays. she thinks everybody is Ph.D here.

My experience with Professor Johnson's English class was by far the most fulfilling. Her way of teaching her students kept me interested in the readings, she made all the material so understandable. Due to Covid-19, we had to switch to an online format mid-semester, she had to start doing lecture videos, she worked so hard and had so much patience!

the most unorganized teacher ive ever had in my entire life! Professor johnson cannot manage her time and will always show up 20-30 minutes late. she is terrible at teaching since she can never stay on the subject being taught. she will take off so many essays points for the tiniest errors BUT she never gives any examples of how she wants the essay

I don't even know why she has a 2.7 level of difficulty, don't take her. It's her way or your work is wrong, she is a hard grader. There are pop quizzes for "extra credit" at the end of class most of the time. Also, her classes are so boring. You can take a better professor, you'll thank me later!

Professor Johnson is an amazing professor. She has an interesting sense of humor and gives a lot of life advice to students unknowingly or maybe on purpose during her lectures. I really enjoy her class because she does a great job explaining the readings thoroughly. It does take some effort from the students part to get an A, but it's worth it!

Took her on Winter and I expected that it will be super heavy but if you pay attention and take notes, you'll get your way through. Be ready to read all the assigned articles. She is pretty nice and approachable. We did three essays and also a research paper.

One of the best English teachers in the department. She takes great care to help everyone, has flexible office hours and if you pay attention in class and write notes there is no way to fail. She is passionate about what she does. There is a lot of writing, but as long as you keep up with it you will be fine. She is also a very decent grader.

It took me a while to understand how she wanted papers to be written. She wants you to write essays HER way so pay attention to the lectures and integrate the notes within your essays. Other than that, she is a decent professor. It was not an easy A class like I thought it would be.

Johnson is one of the best English professors at Pierce. She really has a passion for the material and that shows in her lectures. Her class has a very straight forward structure and there is a lot of reading. She gives a lot of historical context about the works and is always available to help students I'd recommend her to anyone who can take her
