Comment:
Dr. Hanson is very knowledgeable on the fundamentals of computer graphics. He tends to be a bit dry, especially going over things online. Very lenient on assignments and gives you enough rope to hang yourself. Always helpful, even outside of class.

Comment:
Hanson's classes are very structured, methodically planned, and easy to understand. This is a math heavy class, so he writes out everything clearly on the board. I can understand that some wouldn't like his verbose teaching style though. Super lenient with homework deadlines.

Extrememly easy to understand material taught by him. Writes everything down on the board clearly. Very approachable and helpful as well.

Really great professor, knows everything he is talking about and takes it very slowly in explaining things. Writes everything you need to know on the board. Expect weekly labs in almost every one of his classes, even though it's busy work it really helps in mastering the topics. Very lenient on late work as long as you're polite.

Dr. Hanson is great at math. He is a good teacher as well. The largest complaints in my class were that he sometimes trialed off and got quiet, and that he sometimes writes pretty small on the board in a class of 100+ students.

Hanson is an extremely brilliant teacher; however, he is probably the hardest teacher at DigiPen to pay attention to. You will most likely find yourself dozing off in his class, and having to rush back through his notes posted to figure out how to do assignments and study for tests. I found his tests to also vary extremely in difficulty at times.

Interesting and friendly teacher. His notes are very helpful for both the assignments and quizzes so make sure to look through them they may be the piece that fixes your code. Even though I didn't do well I still enjoyed his class so make sure to take him if you get the chance.

Professor Hanson is one of the most decorated professors in the school, he is also the most likely to put you to sleep. The class is simple, but I actually found it to be too simple and easy. I wish we did more in depth assignments.

Just because you've made it to the senoir level (or maybe you think you want to be cool and take a 400 course early), do not underestimate the difficulty of this class. This class will whoop your ass and take names.

Seemed to know what he was talking about, and tried to teach it in an interesting manner. Not sure he entirely succeeded, but he tried. On the one hand, his assignments were fairly challenging. On the other, there was a floating due date until the end of the semester, so we had plenty of time to do them.

He's an ok professor, and will teach you material no matter how you look at it. His projects can be frustrating, but aren't impossible. My biggest complaint is his tests, but they're fair. While he can be hard sometimes, if you get him as a teacher, there isn't any reason to switch out.

Hanson is a good teacher and he teaches in a pretty interesting manner. I was able to follow the class fairly well, not having previous experience with C++. Also, he is very helpful and spends every week assisting students on Wednesday nights.

He *definetly* knows the material. He *definetly* puts effort into his lectures, homeworks, and tests. But he is easily the most verbose and unclear person I've ever learned from. He has a habit of composing sentences with at least 40% unneccessary words.

Dr. Hanson is AWESOME. Always willing to help, and clear, easy-to-understand lectures. Guess some people had problem with him being too difficult. But after surviving Prof. Ghali last semester, nothing is too hard.

Mixed feelings. Loved him for CS250... hated him for everything else. I think he hates teaching (or maybe us)... and it not hard to tell. His grading is f*ed up. He really should be a linear algebra teacher, cause he sucks at programming.

Not the best at teaching, but knows his stuff. Avoid him for classes involving programming. However, if the class places importance on math, he can be very good. Hard teacher.
