Great Teacher. Easiest A I have ever received. 3 essays on whatever you want, connecting any detail in the book to your own life. Read one chapter of each book, connect it somehow to you, and you'll get an A.

Prof Plekon's class is very enjoyable. He lets the students to express their thoughts and help them to be better. He has a great knowledge in religion and talks a lot about the books we need to read. There were two essays(8-9 pages) and books to read about religious figures then discuss them in class. Great Prof, recommended!

He is such a great professor and you can easily receive an A by doing the work he assigns, which are group presentations and two opinion papers. His class discussions are insightful and it's great to have a class where class discussions are involved. I recommend anyone to take him!

Professor Plekon is the kindest professor ever. He really cares about what you think and gives valid feedback. Class is easy if you do the work. Presentations the entire time and then 3 papers on anything you want. No midterm or final exam. Best professor ever.

Professor Plekon is one of the easiest and nicest professors in Baruch. The class is based on group presentations and two papers, generally very easy to do. Attend the class and do the work and you'll be guaranteed an A!

Sweetest professor ever. Love him! And easy class with decent effort. Just have to give a few presentations with your group, which are easy because he appreciates everything you have to say and really just wants your feedback. Yea I never read any of the books, just the chapter I had to present on, but the books are interesting if you like reading.

Prof Plekon is the nicest, most understanding prof (I think he is a pastor, too). Class was all student oral presentations, but it was more like a discussion where he would give insight & feedback. He's very politically aware & makes class interesting and current. Very respectful of student contributions. No midterm or final, just 2 essays.

He was awesome! So nice, not strict about deadlines (to an extent), very open. this class was very very discussion based, NOT a stiff curriculum at all. Plekon is super cool!

do not agree with the 3rd comment on this page. Prof. Plekon is the most amazing Professor at Baruch. His papers are based on your own opinions and ideas about the reading. If you walk out of this class with less than an A, something must be wrong with you. He cares a lot for his student.

Great professor and overall great person. Is always giving you feedback and looking for your opinions. We had 3 essays (3-5pg) and 2 in class presentations. He takes attendance, but I missed 5 classes and still got an A. Its a shame this class is so early, because hes really interesting

the previous person is either an idiot or the laziest person in the planet. i am inclined to believe the former. i had Professor Plekon for two classes, rel 3000 and ind study, the most helpful, generous, kind-hearted person around. taking him from soc 4100 now. clear, concise, knowledgeable. if you have space, take him. if not, take him anyways.

Not a good professor. I took him in spring 2010 thinking he was an easy A since the previous ratings say so. But he is the opposite. Harsh grader on assignments. Not an easy A at all. Started to take attendance, dont know what previous ratings are saying.

extremely knowledgeable. friendly and laid back. his lectures are filled with information if you are willing to pay attention. 3 response papers around 6 pages each. if you are looking for an elective, take him. you should probably take him anyways, not often you get to meet someone with this much diverse knowledge.

Great professor, very nice and friendly. Attendance is not really mandatory but I went to class since it was so laidback. 3 essays (8-10 pages) and the best part is that there's no midterm or final. There's no way you can get less than an A- if you put in some effort.

Professor Plekon is great! Very knowledgeable and always ready to hear your points of view. The only downside of the class was the students who never did any of the readings, never participated and looked bored (You can sample their stupidity on the comments below). "Honors" students... what a joke!

He doesn't really care about attendance, you can have someone sign you in as all you need is to date next to your name. There are a lot of books to read, but you don't really need to read them. He also requests that you do 10 paged papers (approximately 4000-500 words), but I handed in papers less than 2000 words and I still got A's. Easiest A ever
