TAKE THIS GUY! HE'S INTIMIDATING AT FIRST BUT THE CLASS IS WELL WORTH YOUR TIME. 3 MIDTERMS. FINAL IS OPTIONAL. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT PROJECTS! HE'S VERY REASONABLE ABOUT YOUR GRADE. I HAD A LOW C IN THE CLASS, TOOK THE FINAL AND ENDED UP WITH A B! EASY CLASS, TAKE GOOD NOTES, STUDY DEFINITIONS THAT HE GIVES YOU IN CLASS.

Dr. Suich is a good guy. He cares about his students and wants them to understand and succeed. Study hard; DO THE EXTRA CREDIT (you are a fool if you don't). Suich is an awesome teacher. His first exam is the hardest so spend a few days studying for it. If you?re satisfied with your grade at the end of the course then you don?t have to take the final. There are also extra credit opportunities so take advantage of them.

he is hard guys, his tests are hard, you go to his office hrs for help, and he at most times wants to get you out of there, we had an exam today and half the class was still in there, and he was such an ass about it, and was like times up, when he really could of stayed an xtra 10 min! Take drezner he is alot more helpful!

Highly recommend taking Dr Suich. The class is difficult but dr suich is an expert on this. 4 exams (drops the lowest one which means final is optional) and 3 extra credit projects. DO THE EC PROJECTS, the points are added directly to the total final points. Class isn't mandatory but highly recommended as you can easily get lost if you miss any.

WONDERFUL AND CARING TEACHER!!! THE BEST ISDS TEACHER I EVER TAKEN. This was my second time taking this class and having him was well worth it. I thought I would never get this class, but Professor Suich made it crystal clear on how to do each problem. You will have fun, he gives the best advice and extra credit projects are easy and will boost you

Suich is an amazing professor...albiet really goofy at times. If you can handle extreme sarcasm he should come off as funny. Class isn't bad compared to other teachers, just do his homework problems a couple times before each test. Youll have a B or an A easily.

This class is pretty difficult. It's not Suich thats a difficult professor but the material is difficult. 3 exams, 1 final, 3 extra credits. DO THE EXTRA CREDITS!!! They are easy and help you a whole lot. If you do horrible on the first exam don't panic, I got a 44 on the first exam and ended up with a B in the class. I didn't take the final.

BEST IDSD TEACHER!!! i took this class with another teacher(goldstein) and didnt understand 1 thing the WHOLE semester.. by the first day in Suich's class i learned more than the whole last semester... he explains things in plain english and makes it soo easy to understand.. trust me take him if you actually want to learn and pass!

This professor knows his material and is very fair in his grading. Yes, he thinks he is funny. He is a good choice because you can actually learn the subject from him even though it is hard work but the subject itself is difficult. Professors don't have to be nice but he can be if you show you did some work before asking for help.

Suich is an interesting character. He's quirky and a smartass but he makes the material easier to understand. I didn't pass with a diff. prof but passed with him. Do the hw & make sure you do the extra credit. It helps A LOT! He drops the lowest test score so don't freak out too much about your grade, go by total points. Would recommend.

Exams are much more difficult than the homework. Offers lots of EC which can raise your grade by a letter grade. No curve on exams but you can drop one test. Don't volunteer. I did it once and he told me that the guy sitting in front of my is smarter. Makes everyone feel stupid if you don't have the right answer every time.

Ok he's a good teacher, but the material is hard. There are 3 exams and a final. You can drop your lowest exam, which includes the final. He grades by points not percentage. So if you get a 60 on a test your still ok becuz 270 pts and above is an A. Just add up your scores.I got 58,78,72 and i got a B. Its not an easy class but hey its statistics.

Professor is a cool guy. Tests are hard but he definitely covers all necessary material. On three exams I scored 97, 100, and 100. I didn't even have to take the final. Would recommend if you are willing to study.

He may start out seeming to be a nice and funny prof but that can change in a blink of an eye. You will find that students give up asking questions in class because he will make them feel stupid. He is very thorough in his lessons but his test are very different from what is taught. He is a good prof, it's just he needs to scale back on scarcasim.

I agree with some of what was said, tricky tests. Tests are nothing like the homework, test questions are singificantly harder. I was also accused of cheating (I Did Not). He expects you to prove you didn't cheat if accused. Says that statistical probability says he is correct. So much for evidence or proof. If he sets his sights on you, look out.
