His Econometrics class is probably the hardest class you will take at the school. You need to already be good at statistics, calculus, and coding to excel. Grade is 50% final project, 20% peer review, 20% final, and 10% busy work. Group project for every chapter that can be tough but will help you skill up. He's a great teacher and lenient grader.

There are difficult quizzes throughout the semester and each q right is a point toward your final grade, plus a 35q exam and optional 10pt paper. Very clear lectures and he has interesting stories. As long as you study and review past quizzes you'll pass.

Dr. Eff made this class super interesting. Your grade is based off of 13 quizzes. Each question you get correct on the quizzes contributes to your final grade. You can get to a 90 before the final. Once you get your grade to where you want to be you do not have to complete the remaining quizzes or even the final. Super nice guy too. Take him!

This was one of the best classes I have taken at MTSU. He uses a very clear and SUPER easy to understand grading system, 1 point on a quiz1% point. That said, his questions are very hard and require a lot of thought. He's accessible and gives regular and detailed feedback. I'd take another class with him in an instant.

This class was crazy hard for me but I'd never taken an Econ class before. He covers materials then there is a weekly quiz where you earn points for your grade. If you listen closely in class and put in a little study time you should be fine. He's very intelligent and goes off on tangents but somehow makes it work with whatever he's talking about.

Dr. Eff is one of the best teachers I've taken so far. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Economic and lectures from his head. He has a very easy-going personality& his class is actually enjoyable. He does give a quiz every week but the trade-off is that he doesn't give tests. You will actually learn economics from this man. Would def take again.

Caring professor with a wealth of knowledge in his field. Grading is pretty lenient: he has 12-13 quizzes throughout the semester and each question correctly answered is a point towards the final grade. Therefore out of 125 total questions, only 90 are needed to make an A. Also assigns a paper worth 10 points. But the draw of the course is the prof

Favorite teacher hands down. Incredibly brilliant with a diverse amount of knowledge. Very in tune with his students with a passion for economics and teaching. Although I was well educated with economics prior to the class, he still managed to teach me new concepts and helped to solidify previously known information. Highly recommend.

I took Dr. Eff for both Urban and Regional and Hist of Econ Thought. I cannot rate him highly enough! He is one of the smartest people I've met, he has a genuine interest in his students, and has a very easy going personality. I've learned more from Dr. Eff than any other professor in the department. Take him, take him, TAKE HIM!

Macro. Dr Eff made me (not forced, but made me want to) change my minor to Econ. His class is awesome. He doesn't use a text for the Honors section, and quizzes once a week, which all add up and get put in with your final to make your final grade out of 100. If you just listen and learn doing well is easy. Dr Eff wants his students to do well.
