I would first like to mention that this is the worst class I have ever taken in my life. He makes you buy HIS book he wrote on amazon and then write pointless papers about it & then gives you a bad grade. He is disorganized & very confusing. If you want to learn nothing, receive bad grades on papers you worked hard on & be confused then go ahead.

Worst professor, seriously. Don't take his class, or if you do, get out. Im currently working on getting out through petitions right now. He is incredibly narcissistic, unclear, hateful, and a horrid teacher. He gives you no idea of his standards before the assignment, but ridicules the class for being wrong AFTER the fact. Horrid.

Beware of his joke early on in class. He has you hunt through "research sites" that truly do not exist. It puts you in a panic, if you are looking to do well in class and learn, which never goes away during the next 4 months.

So much Nope. Soooo much Nope. I cant remember not being stressed out about having to write 2+ essays a week and getting only Cs on them.We write essays on a book he wrote (narcissism much?) but the stories are awkwardly written. It doesnt help that he's unclear on his assignments. Just Nope out of there as soon as you can.

He is very unclear. He makes you purchase his book and write responses to his storys. In the beginning of the class i began taking my essays (which there are over 20) to an outside professional source and would still recieve c's and d's. I had applied skills learned in english 110 and still recieved low grades. Just don't...

He announces the week's assignments in various places on Blackboard. Directions are not clear, and change throughout the week. If you are a transfer student, don't bother. I received a D- on my first paper, after using what I had learned from my previous professor. He's unaware that not everyone teaches 'Musgravian' English Composition.

Do not take this professor!!! He lacks clear communication with his students. He changes the topics and requirements of essays the night it's due. His grading style was inconsistent throughout the semester. Seems to be adjunct faculty with a chip on his shoulder because he's not a full time professor.

Frequently changes assignment guidelines. Has no lesson plan and does not understand the flaw in using stories he authored as essay topics. If you do not draw the conclusion from the story that he wants, you'll get a bad grade. His short stories are horribly written with awkward plots and oddly-developed characters.

EXTREMELY HARD CLASS! If your looking for an easy A, do not take this teacher!! Although I did get an A in his class, I had to work my butt off!!. Essay topics are so random and will not help you write essays in the future, and you have to write more then 20 essays in the semester. He also doesn't explain the topics very clearly. Do not recommend

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!!! He is the worst teacher. I am taking his class anf I could not be more confused. He does not explain anything, makes you read a book he wrote, ask him questions and he just goes around them. All he talks about is Buddhism and the military.

I wish I had read all of these postings before signing up for his class. I don't want classes to be easy, but his online class is very difficult to navigate. You only read his stories and I thought fiction was open to interpretation? Not so apparently.

DO NOT TAKE ENGLISH ON LINE. It is very difficult to understand what the expectations are and the Professor is not very clear with his instructions. He uses a website to tell you what you got wrong. He knows his stuff but it seems like he wants you to be perfect in grammar. Misspelled one word and got a C on the paper. Not reasonable.

This class makes no sense at all. I am currently taking it (online) and am incredibly confused. The assignments are not at ALL clearly laid out. Where there are instructions for the assignments, the 'example' documents differ from other examples he posts. I have no idea which ones to follow. EXTREMELY confusing!!

This is the WORST class I've ever taken. This was an on-line class, of which I've taken many, and it was completely disorganized. The information was incredibly hard to decipher, assignments unclear, and the teacher doesn't respond in a timely manner. On top of that, you have to pay to read articles he wrote to complete assignments. Not good!

I attended class with a few of the commentators below and after reviewing their homework, I'd say that it isn't surprising they didn?t pass. He won't baby you, he expects you to do your work. If you are someone who goes through life with excuses and needs to be babysat, this isn't the Prof for you. Don?t procrastinate!

SUMMER 09 Semester - Professor Musgrave was fair and his assignments were clear cut. The work isn't easy, but this is college, why do you expect it to be easy? Work hard and you can do great in his class, but you reap what you sow, if you slack off, don't expect an A. His emails were polite and professional, unlike some Professors at this school.

This is the worst English course I have ever taken. Nearly every assignment is "read my short story and compare it to this other essay/documentary." If you want to learn something, skip this instructor. Don't expect clear instructions. He replied to one of my questions for online submissions with "NOT CORRECT" and that was it. Terrible.

In reading all the other remarks, it was quite interesting to see that either you like him or you don't. Yes, the class was VERY different and not easy, but the skills I learned there were worth the challenge! To those who didn't agree, I see most of you can hardly spell...think about it. Mr. Musgrave you were an inspiration to stay sharp.
