This class is horrible. I have an A in the lecture but a D in the lab!? I have met with her several times and she acts like she is concerned and really cares, but the minute you leave its like she has never talked to you in her life. This is the worst and most unorganized class I have every had here!!!

Difficult but fair. Ferrier was helpful when approached. Even funny, suprisingly.

Impossible lab. Harder than Bonner lecture. What you do in lab has no correlation with what you are tested on. Waste of my life. I do not even think I know what Ferrier looks like? Her TAs are sometimes as confused as we are, and half the time express their discontent with her "teaching" methods.

She is NUTS! For a two credit hour LAB, it was harder than my Biology lecture. Her tests are so all over the place and the questions, you wonder where she is able to think of them! Nobody else does Labs, so everyone will have to experience her... good luck, you'll need it.

Terrible! My TA hardly spoke English and Ferrier made the test so that you had to know every little tiny detail of EVERYTHING. Unorganized, boring, and all we did in class was look at slides.

The class is the most unorganized thing I have ever seen. It helps if you search for the class on google and print out the slides. That is where the info for the quizes comes from.

This class was the biggest waste of my time. The class is totally unorganized. Ferrier expects you to manipulate the experiments to get disired results... come on its a 100 level class. TA's seems clueless. The lab is always messy and unprepared. Most TA's dont speak english well. Tests are really hard and long. Don't plan on seeing Ferrier.

Class is unorganized, experiment procedures confusing and unclear. You will probably never see her in class. Luckily I had the coolest TA that made it my favorite class, but he's leaving next year. Tests were 100 questions so be prepared the answer every question that could be made from the material.

Lab is unorganized, tests are impossible, most of the TA's suck. A great weed-out class and Alma Ferrier makes sure she does just that.

Awful class. Never seen Ferrier at all. TAs don't know what they're doing. Therefore, students don't know what they should do. Tests have nothing to do with class. This class is a waste of time and merely a joke.

Ferrier is never around to help out with anything. Her notebooks are not as thorough as the tests. Grading criteria is sketchy, and the TAs sometimes don't know what's going on. Many of the diagrams in the homework are poorly drawn (by Ferrier). Tests are much too hard for an introductory biology lab. If you can avoid this class, do it.

Biology 151 is the most disorganized class I have ever taken. None of the laboratory experiments work and it is nearly impossible to get an A in this class. Her tests are ridiculous!

This is just a class you have to get out of the way. You need to teach yourself pretty much everything, and then some. If you're up to that, you'll be fine. If not, you shouldn't take this class. TAs are all horrible, not their fault though as organization is the key thing lacking from this lab

As I mentioned on the class evaluations she probably threw away, the Biology labs at UK are pathetic, and this is due entirely to Dr Ferrier. She leaves all teaching to unprepared (and unsuspecting) TA's, who dislike her every bit as much as we do; she's an unavoidable tyrant of required labs at UK
