Professor Arazyan is really an amazing Professor. She cares about what you learn from the course instead of whether you get the correct answers for the exam. All the grades are fair and resonable. She make linear algebra esay for understanding.

She is a really good professor, definitely very knowledgeable. However, lectures are kinda dry. Graded by: 10% textbook problems 10% online HW problems 25% first midterm 25% second midterm 30% final Not a very difficult class. The material builds on each other. Just make sure to keep up with the material.

I dont know why she doesnt have a better rating, she doesnt just read off the slides like I saw one of the other comments say. She clearly explains the material and uses examples. I dont even like stats and I thought this class was an easy A, especially considering it doesnt really take any studying compared to most STEM courses.

She was a great professor-hilarious and managed to recognize every student in the lecture (I took the class in person in 2019). Something she did that no other professor's ever done that I really appreciated was that she told us the approximate minimum grade we should've gotten on the first exam based on the curve to be on track to pass the class.

Comment:
Prof Arazyan's lectures aren't the most exciting since it's math after all. However, her explanations are clear and intuitive. She only sets 3 homework questions every week which is very little. Her tests are slightly harder than her lectures but nothing nobody can't do.

Comment:
Dr. Arazyan is soooo sweet and caring. Go to her office hours if you take her. However, she's not the best lecturer. She reads off of pre-made Pearson lecture slides and the classes are pretty boring and dry. Very exam-heavy; they are worth 25% each, and the final is 30%. Good lecturer but take someone else if available.

Really nice professor. She helps students get ready for exams by going over example questions. Homework every week, exams are similar to hw questions. Lectures can be boring but this is a math class.

she is literally the sweetest lady ever. her lectures are very clear and she will do any example problem you want, just have to ask. no curve though, so pay attention. minimal homework, just get it done. if you put effort in (attend lecture, take notes, do the optional practice problems) should be an easy class.

Prof. Arazyan is extremely sweet and funny during her lectures. She's always willing to help if you ask for it as well. There is only one homework assignment at the end of each week so the workload is light, but the exams are noticeably more challenging than other professor's exams. Nothing too challenging though!

COVID UPDATE: Lectures recorded and posted. Very basic calculus. Class notes relevant. Exams taken online, test day assigned but take it whenever, open note, not recorded or monitored. She always told us exactly which types of problems would be on test, and were (different numbers) but the same as the examples did in class. So nice, loves questions

Dr. Arazyan is a caring, sweet woman, but not a very good educator. She reads off pre-made textbook slides and doesn't prepare us enough for exams, which are worth 25% each in MA115. Homework is not worth enough for the amount of time it takes up. Lectures are boring; thankfully attendance isn't mandatory. Choose someone else for stats if possible.

She is very sweet and takes time to check in w/ students, but under prepares you for exams, even with open notes tests. HW and class are very easy compared to exam difficulty. Lectures are clear and she explains concepts well, but overwhelms you with info and doesn't tell you what you really need. Be prepared to know everything, even small T/F.

she is very sweet, but not the best lecturer. very clear with examples, but then doesn't provide you with enough to succeed on exams. very hard tests so make sure you do all hw + extra practice problems + read book

Very sweet and caring, always stops to make sure you are understanding. Very clear explanations of concepts, but lectures sometimes disorganized. Very easy HW. Accent is very clear. Also brings out her bunny who is adorable. She is great professor, would take her class!

Professor Arazyan cares a lot about her students and makes a lot of great small talk during class that lightens up lectures, however, she gives a huge amount of homework and the problems assigned don't accurately reflect what is given on exams. Doing well in this class, especially if you have never taken calc, is so much harder than it has to be.

Prof Arazyan is a really nice, caring woman, but her tests are not on par with what she goes over in lecture. The final exam was extremely difficult in comparison to the homework and review problems. She tries her best to give partial credit, but her exam averages are a lot lower than other professors. If you want an easy A, take someone else.

Comment:
The homework for this class was way too easy, the bridge from homework material to exam material was nonexistent. She also didn't have very much availability outside of class which I think was also a problem because if you got something wrong on an exam you could never track her down to figure out where you went wrong.

Dr. Arazyan might not be the most engaging Prof but thats not her fault because it's stats and everyone is bored. She tells you exactly what you need to show on the test to do well. The class is not difficult at all even if you don't have a strong math background. Overall very caring and nice person.

Nice woman with painfully boring lectures, she just reads off the slides that come directly from the book so you end up teachigng yourself everything anyway
