Professor Scrofano was my favorite teacher last semester. She's very nice and as long as you read the book you're assigned, you'll be fine. Speaking of, the books she chooses are actually interesting and fun to read (I personally like classic literature, but I know a lot of people don't. This class had none of that!) I wish I could take her again!

Professor Scrofano was a great teacher and really made English fun. The discussions are straightforward and the books we read for the class we're interesting and thought provoking. I would recommend taking her if English is not your best subject.

Professor Scrofano is an amazing teacher. She's really committed to her students and has an easy-to-understand way of lecturing. She's always on top of grading and gives great essay feedback. There were 4-5 essays total that ranged from personal essays to analysis essays on material we read in class. Stay on top of homework and you'll do great!

Sweetest person on the planet. She really cares about her students and will work with you through a paper in office hours if you need it. Class consisted of four papers all of which you were given the opportunity to re-write. If you took AP lit and AP lang in high school, easy A.

I think that she is the sweetest professor ever. She might fit in as an elementary teacher, from her bubbly personality, but it's a nice break from the heavy professors who don't have tone in their voice. She gives four essays total, but gives you a chance to revise them after every essay. Use her resources to your advantage.

She is one of the best English teachers I have had. It is important to ask questions if you need to because she is very helpful. There are four essays in class and she allows rewrites for all essays except the last one. There is a good amount of reading for homework where she assigns reflections per reading assignment.

Scrofano is such a nice teacher/person! I like how organized she is and how she grades papers. Some assignments I didnt feel taught me anything but she does give a lot tips and handouts on how to write well on future essays. Shes the type of teacher that is great for first year college students.

Professor Scrofano is a tough grader by far. I took her children's Literature class and she assigns four essays total along with reflections due every class. She is very sweet and is there if you need support, do not hesitate to ask for help! You will need it to go to her office hours as well!

Professor Scrofano knows what she is talking about and loves the material. I took her children's literature class which was finally offered this year. The class was Tuesdays and Thursdays and there was always material to read. She would assign a book on Tuesday and expected you to read it and write a reflection to turn in on Thursday.

Professor Scrofano is the sweetest person ever. Her children's literature class is very fun, but sometimes her lectures can get boring because she will reread from the children's books which she makes you read for homework. Overall, great professor.

Professor Scrofano is amazing!!! She really takes time to grade everything (and quickly too!!). She loves non fiction novels so most of the time you are going to be focusing on a book and writing essays on that. She is super sweet and always is available through her office hours and email!! Taking English M02 with her now!!

Revision stations in which you aren't supposed to peer-review, instead you are given some generic prompts and asked to conjure up a new thesis, etc., as if walking through the door gives you fresh ideas. Grading criteria is questionable, on Canvas u can see that no one EVER gets 100% on an essay, which begs the question, what is she lookin for?

Prof. Scrofano treats her college student like we are in middle school. She is constantly giving out busy work and treats us like we are about 12, but overloads us with books, homework and essays. This whole semester has felt like a scramble to keep up with everything she assigns.

Love Mrs. Scrofano! I loved her so much I took her for all english courses. I hated english going into college, but after meeting her, she helped me and gave me the tools I needed to succeed. She was even awesome enough to give me a letter of reccommendation after finishing her courses, so that I was able to win a schlorship!
