Ken is very nice and goes on a tangent a lot. You can skip class 3 times before it brings your grade down. There isn't a lot assigned, other than to read and write responses; creative writing doesn't require too much work. Final is a story/poem you write and pass in. Not a harsh grader, but A may be difficult to get, however you'll pass the class.

What a great professor, loved this class even though it was early. Very chill guy, he's such an interesting person, great personality, and doesn't mind going off on tangents. A really nice guy doesn't mind late work. This guy is probably one of my favorite professors I've ever had.

Ken is awesome. I've had him for two courses now (also ENG222) and he is great. Funny, rambles during lectures (some people may find this annoying) and tells stories. He expects you to read but understands it won't always happen. Okay with late work. Super nice. Take a class with him before he retires.

Fantastic professor and such a funny guy! The topic was a little boring, but we did explore some pretty interesting poetry. Pretty easy.

I took his creative writing class and It was an easy A. For a writing intensive course we did very little writing. We had 6 one page responses and one final project. The final project is 5-8 page nonfiction story. You start it at the beginning of the Semester and have the entire course to finish it. Nice professor but a little spacey.

Ken is a pretty relaxed and groovy dude. Whether your an English major or not this class was accessible and enjoyable. His grading is easy and straightforward. Sometimes he gets on tangents, but they are always very interesting. I would definitely recommend taking this class with him.

He's very approachable and easy to get along with, but I found his class oftentimes very boring. His grading is so easy that it approaches the borderline to being unfair to him. His critiques are very helpful, though. I also wonder sometimes who or what he is staring at when he stares off into space...

Ken Norris is the best professor I have ever had and has inspired me to do things beyond myself. His grading is fair, almost too easy and he is willing to do whatever it takes to help the students make the grade.

Most of his classes felt somewhat useless to attend. Very little homework to do if you've already read Shakespeare (couple papers a semester); allowed for students to miss *5* classes without a problem. Philosophical discussions were interesting, but not as good as Brinkley's.

Ken is the kind of professor you're lucky to encounter once in your college career. His love and knowledge of poetry is infectious, his objectivity is remarkable, and the additional flare of his personal experiences keep things interesting.

This guy knows what he's doing, is awesome at what he does, and is a really nice guy. The class inspired me so much that I stared to self-publish my own books of poetry by around the end of the semester, and it's all thanks to this guy.

Fun discussions, but be prepared if you take a lit-crit class with him. Doesn't seem keen on utilising applied ideologies involving interpretation at all. But it is fun to have almost a free-reign over what you write about! I miss that!

LOVE Ken's classes. Very open to discussion, always willing to digress in any direction for the sake of a point. Also incredible poet. Predictable to a fault: 200 level, three 3-4 page long papers; 400 level, three 5-6 page papers. Hard grader, but as long as you defend your point well you can say that Shakespeare didn't have a clue.

He is nice and intelligent, but really boring. This class is intended to be a major "building block" sort of class for Eng. majors, but I didn't learn anything in it.

He was very interesting in his Canadian Lit class. He would let us hold class outside on sunny days. He gave a good objective view of Canada of both pros and cons and let us decide our opinions. I liked his class a lot.
