You learn really quickly in class not to question any of her biased clearly inaccurate views. Just be quiet and agree with everything she says and you will be fine.

Although some of her feedback on papers is useful, I really don't understand why she is in higher ed at all. I honestly, get the feeling that she "teaches" e.g. as a hobby and to push her uninformed views on students.

I have somewhat of a love-hate relationship with this professor. She clearly knows her stuff, but sometimes comes off a bit pretentious if you dont fall in line with her thought process. Shes a very tough grader but offers decent feedback if youre willing to put in the work. Overall, shes a nice lady and decent professor, but expect a challenge

Sharon really cares about improving the writing skills of her students, the only drawback is the cold calling. She loves calling on people who don't seem as confident with the material. Overall though I enjoyed taking her class, just be ready to participate.

Tisher continues to be an amazing professor that pushes her students to be better. She is very fair and logical with her grades, which can be frustrating for you but is refreshing because not many do this. Her grading is true to your work, so dont expect an A if you haven't put the effort in. Hilariously funny when she doesnt know it. Easy class.

Tough grader, but honestly the feedback she gives on your essays is amazing. She is one of the only Honors professors I've had that writes all over your essays. Do the play, do the rewrites, and you'll do fine. Also, she forces people to participate. So read the books and don't worry if you're too shy to raise your hand.

Great professor and great class! Challenging and often ruthless with her comments (if you can even read them, handwriting is terrible). Overall I have learned so much from the two classes I have taken with her, and I plan on taking another. Very intelligent and can be funny once you warm her up. Speak up in class and read the texts she provides!

Quite intimidating but is very nice. Very opinionated but if you have a solid argument she will respect other views. She gives a lot of discussion questions and you need to be prepared to answer them in class. She will also tear apart your essays but you'll be a better writer because of it. Do the play for the finale assignment.

If you want to improve your writing, she is the preceptor to take. You can feel her passion to teach the material. Participation matters in her seminars. Reading the book is also required. If you don't try, then you won't pass. She makes her requirements clear. However, when revising your essay, bring a pen and paper to write what she says.

This was by far the WORST seminar I have taken so far. This professor is VERY narrow minded and is NOT open to accepting other's interpretations of the texts. Although you are allowed to rewrite your essays, she makes you rewrite them to her interpretation and opinion and only gives you a sub par grade. Written work is worth 75% and the rest is 25%

Sharon isn't a nice person but you'll become a better writer with her and the discussions are interesting and insightful. Every class in HON111 is discussion, and she lets you rewrite your essays. Good class, interesting person, kind of a mean person. She is intimidating and I hated her at first but at the end of the semester I respected her

I feel two ways about Tisher. One she is narrow-minded and forces Honors in a corner it doesn't belong. She always had a correct answer and wasn't open to other thoughts. WIth that said I did ,the books (at least how she understood them) more than my first semester. There are better preceptors.

I did not enjoy her class. She is not open to different opinions. You have to write the paper that SHE wants not what you think. Listen to her feedback or you'll get a crappy grade. Definitely regarded as one of the hardest preceptors.

I feel that she has lost her way.... someone who wasn't able to hack it as a real lawyer and is now falling back to teaching and pressing her ideals on students. she's only respectful of your opinions if you agree with her. She is incredibly subjective with her grading and watch out if you get on her bad side. I received A's in both of her courses.

Sharon was great! I would take her class again in a heartbeat! She's eager, encourages you to think, respects your opinion, and you can tell she loves her job. She also really helped improve my writing and is just an all around great teacher. Plus, she brings her dog to class!

She is an awesome professor. If you want an A you really have to work for it, but when you get it, it is the best feeling ever. She is very interesting, you need to talk in her class, but as long as you contribute some ideas it is fine.

Sharon's class was very difficult considering her final grade was based mostly on the papers we wrote. However, she was a great teacher and really can teach you how to write. She likes students that try their best. If you find that you are struggling in her class, take advantage of her office hours. She is very helpful.
