Bad teacher, rambles on about stupid things, then proceeds to go over the other stuff way too quickly. All the other negative reviews are pretty much true so I won't bother to repeat them. Inconsistent with his assignments postings.

Comment:
This man is an awful teacher. He stands in front of the class and rambles aimlessly off topic, hands in pockets, eyes at his feet. He teaches nothing relevant and is also biased towards anyone who disagrees with him or who he sees as a threat to his ego. He has no actual grading totals and is impossible to reason with. He should be fired.

Comment:
GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He comes across as this "scary old man", but he's really not. He really wants everyone to do well. He can explain things weird, but just ask him questions about it, and he'll eventually say it in a way that makes sense to you. Everyone thinks about this stuff differently - so if you don't get it a certain way, ASK!

Comment:
A smart man who struggles to teach a large group. Office hours are helpful, lectures are way off topic at times and he certainly plays favorites. College should be beyond that. Gives no plus/minus grades which doesn't help if you're on the border. To succeed: try hard, read the book, go to office hours. Only attending lectures will not cut it.

Useless Class. The man can not stay on subject. Picks out his few favorites at the beginning of semester, and becomes the Him and Them show for the rest of it. Tests are VERY unlcear, homeworks are worse. He WILL help you, but if he we lecturing better, he could spend less time doing that.

Very nice guy. If you need help go to office hours, he will be more then willing to help. He likes students who put in an effort more then lazy students so put in the effort. If you are an econ student you have to take his math based courses REP 458 and ECO 480.

Horrible class! I either fell asleep or just skipped it all together toward the end, because I realized that by going to class I got more confused than by skipping. Everything is in powerpoint form and he posts it all on Firstclass. He words things wrong in tests and assignments and has even self proclaimed that he is too old to teach.

This class was awful. Probably the worst professor I have had here. Made students feel dumb when they asked questions...never made any sense when he talked...simply drew diagrams and didn't explain them at all. I would not take this class.

I did not understand microeconomics at all. It's more my fault than Leiby's, but I just hated the class and couldn't understand it no matter what I did. He's a funny guy and seems to know his stuff, though he's a bit opinionated and seems to think that his way of thinking is 100% correct. GO TO HELP SESSIONS!!! You'll get a much better grade.

I didn't go to many classes and still ended up with an A. His teaching methods are confusing and his examples are out there. Unless you know something about raising horses and shoveling manure, you are not going to have a clue what he's talking about. You're better off teaching yourself.

College Level Economics. Does not read the textbook to you, nor go over the entire thing, but rather explains what is more complicated/important. Great Teacher. You know what he expects from you.
