She is not understanding of anyones situation, she won't tell you when things are due until you ask about them. She remembers almost nothing. She should not be teaching anymore and needs to retire. Do not take her. I took 2 credits for her and it was more work than any one class I have ever had before. If you take this it will be your entire life.

Very sweet lady, as long as you stay on her good side. Show you are responsible, never be late for an appointment with her, bring any materials you need. If you show an interest in her class, she will show an investment in your success.

She is a very genuine person. She cares a lot about her work and wants to see students get the most out of their 290 experience. She may seem difficult at times, but as long as you stay organized and bring the required materials to every meeting you will have no problems with her. It is a great introductory experience for anyone! Take one!

She definitely cares about the subject, Dr. Grayson is famous in VA for her work with child abuse. Must get 80% on 4/5 quizzes and do a 25hr comm service project to get an A. you can retake missed test ?'s, so the A is VERY possible. Very clear and knowledgeable, even helpful in office hours. Take her if you're looking for a 400 level class.

I love Dr Grayson, shes amazing. I stopped by her office to ask her a question and she gave me a little christmas bag of cookies. I've had her for child abuse and neglect, which is a do-able class, definitely read. She lets you retake the questions you got wrong. I think 10 hours of csl req. I also did some more csl with her b/c shes awesome.

the 11/2/04 comment is absurd. dr grayson cares more about her work than anyone i've met. she is passionate about children and stoping family abuse. amazing woman who dedicates an incredible amount of time to her work. funny, sweet, overall great person. take her.

There is a lot of reading required for this course. The tests are hard but manageable if you read the material. She allows you to retake tests. Her grading scale and optional special project makes getting an A a lot easier. Overall an interesting class and a good professor!

Flattened affectivity. i wouldnt say "soul-less" but something resembling that definitely... if she has the heart for her work, i haven't seen it. i really thought id get to know her and learn so much from her but i think im more passionate about this than she is... in a word: disappointing

I like this class. Tests are easy if u study, and can retake each one anytime! I learned alot in this class, and the videos make it easy to remember. Def. take this class, she will help you with any questions you have.

extremely scatter-brained. test material is nearly impossible to study for. perk: she does let you retake them, but they don't seem to get any easier. not good lecturer, uses too many videos, doesn't really teach that well
