The worst professor in the department. His English is very hard to understand. I think the material is not difficult, however, the professor can't explain the theory and concept clearly. He is not friendly, and easy to be angry.

Absolutely the worst professor I have ever had in University, BY FAR. The final material was not anywhere close to what we had encountered in practice exams or assignments, and having a self made formula sheet did not help. Lecture's are useless, as is the professor. Unfortunately, the course is mandatory in EE, and he is the only prof teaching it.

Dr. Xu tries to teach well, but he fails. He is difficult to understand and he does a lot of lecturing on important topics without writing it down (a bad combination). Assignments are straight out of the text, but don't expect solutions. Thank god for the curve - in my year Dr. Xu was the only one who taught ECE 330, and it is mandatory for EEs.

Dr. Xu tried to teach well but unfortunately he couldn't. Did not explain very concepts clearly and was not that helpful in his office. Midterm was okay but the final was tough -- some questions we had never seen on assignments or anywhere else before. Overall, he's a good researcher but unfortunately that didn't transfer over into the teaching.

I actually thought this was one of the better profs. He relates how you apply what you learn in EE 330 to actually being employed as a power engineer. Very smart man, great notes on the board, helpful with homework. A very easy midterm, but make SURE you read the first few days of notes you gave you, he likes to ask conceptual questions on them.

Where do i begin? not at all approchable wish there was a zero for that. Makes u look like an idiot when he is answering ur question, very rude. Doesn't care much about helping u unless u r his phd student. 433 -- don't explain enough for PU stuff, refresher not adequate. Stay away if can.

Where to start? This man is hands down the worst prof I have ever seen. Couldn't care less about teaching and is of no help whatsoever. Lectures were useless, he was useless. DO NOT ever take one of his classes if at all possible.
