Prof Fontaine is the strangest teach I've ever had. He goes off on pointless tangents, will yell out of nowhere, slams his hands on the desk. He gives easy 5 point essays, but the textbook is your real teacher. It felt pointless to show up to class except for the attendance points. Know key vocab he gives, READ THE TEXT!!, teach yourself basically!

He was a bad professor. In class he never talked about anything that had to do with our lessons. He never was clear on any work we had to do and our exams. Dont offer extra credit and dont let people know their grades.

Hes a super funny guy. He does get off topic but its actually interesting. Theres a short essay due every 2 weeks. He doesnt grade hard so its usually an easy 100%. The tests are easy if you study. If youre failing, do the supplemental psych. They tell you whats on the tests and what to study for. Only study the KT and youll pass.

The course should be challenging but not as challenging as he makes it. He is never clear on what to study for exams and during lectures he goes off on tangents about things unrelated. I do not recommend.

Read the book, do his study guides and you'll be fine. I took three classes with him and I did fine as long as I used my study guides. He's a little out there but that's honestly what kept me interested and invested in his courses. I wish I wasn't done with psych classes, he's the best.

Overall it was somewhat of an easy class. When he gives lectures you cant understand a thing he says, although he is very funny at points. He is an easy grader, but you pretty much have to read the text book and teach yourself. The final is the easiest part of this class.

As long as you show up to class, do your essays that are assigned on Plato and look over notes before class, you should be fine. I highly recommend taking notes on your own time, and just listen during class. Also, the day an essay is due, youll most likely have a pop quiz. Tests are a little on the harder side, but not impossible.

if you dont like random yelling or banging on things, Fontaine is not for you! keeps class interesting and funny, but the text book is heavily relied on for your success in the class and tests. take good notes!! pop quizzes are graded out of 5 questions/points, very common sense in all his teachings.

Gives you a paper with 70+ terms and expects you to know the definition and an example of each term for the test. The tests are super tricky and make you second guess yourself. Also, there is about 2 pop quizzes every week worth only 5 points, but they add up. You also get a paper to write due every week.

Professor Fontaine tends to get off topic very easily, so it is hard to stay focused. I highly recommend going to SI with Deb. All of the exams are on keywords, and Deb hands out packets with all the keywords.

Great prof, but he can mumble, so sit as close to front as you can. Has weekly 1 page papers that are great at reinforcing concepts/applying them to the real world. Breaks down each chapt. into 2 or 3 classes & posts ppts, so print them out before class (3 slides/page) & use them to take notes on what he says. Final essays are written out of class.

Oh my gosh this guy is hysterical! All his classes are lectures but man does this guy know his stuff! The way he talks and randomly yells is very humorous. The best are the things he says he does tend to talk low though so sit up front for the show

He's a good teacher. I have to say, I'm probably the worst student he has. I don't really show up, most of the time I am late, however I have been keeping up with the book on my own and have been doing well. Every class period is a lecture, he does give "pop" quizzes but if you keep up with the readings you shouldn't have a problem.

Nice guy but all around awful teacher. He mumbles, studders constantly and will randomly yell just for the heck of it. Never clear on what kind of questions will be on the test, is not willing to give extra help. Be prepared to just sit in class and listen to him ramble while wondering where your thousands of dollars are going.

Expect a weekly pop quiz and short essay, but neither are very difficult. His tests can be challenging but he gives you all of the terms you need to study way in advance and that's all you need to study for the exams. If you can sit up front because he can be hard to hear but he is very nice and pretty entertaining.

He has tons of pop quizzes and short 5 point essays. They almost always piggyback each other, so expect a pop quiz the class before you turn in a paper. He is pretty funny, but he has long lectures that seem like forever.
