Comment:
Okada is super easy when grading papers and essay questions on exams. He understands that not everyone is an English major, or upper division Psych major. No quizzes, just exams. Each exam is usually 50 multiple choice, 2 short answers, and based off his lectures. He even said save yourself money and not get the textbook. He wants you to pass.

Professor Okada is an amazing teacher. If you go to his office hours to get your exercises checked he will help you. He will help you understand the information better if you take the time to see him. He has 4 exams along with homework but your notes help you solve the homework problems. I recommend him! Take him!

One of my favorite classes from the year. Some concepts were a little difficult to understand, but Prof. Okada was always very constructive and helpful after class and during office hours. He drops the lowest test score and gives lots of extra credit opportunities in the end of the year. Wish he taught more stats classes tbh

Professor Okada is a really cool guy. His lecture is somehow confusing, his joke is dry but he did give opportunities to students that are hard-working and try to get improve. Self-study a lot and make sure you check homework with him during his office hours. Homework is really important because it takes up to 43%.

Closed book concept exams were hard! He drops one of your lowest grades. Allows a cheat sheet for open book section of the exam. Homework is 40% of your grade so do it and get it corrected at his office hours before turning it in so you get full points! HW is very similar to open book exam. Gives extra credit problems on the last two homeworks.

Prof. Okada was amazing! Take 8 tests (4 with 2 parts each and he drops the lowest test score), do 7-8 homework exercises, and work on SPSS (statistics program). Take good notes, he allows cheat sheets on half of his tests! Overall, a very intelligent, understanding guy.

Amazing professor!! Overall, this class is an easy A if you pay attention and compare your homework with him during office hours. He allows you a cheat sheet on the equation part of the exam which really helps. He also drops the lowest exam score.

Grade based on three tests and two essays. Pretty easy grader on the essays, as long as you put in some effort. Tests include short answer questions, but everything is pretty straightforward. Tests are based completely off the lectures, so you don't need the book if you take notes. Offers extra credit last week of the semester.

Super chill, very helpful. You can always check homework in office hours before turning it in, so always a guaranteed A, if you put in the effort. He lets you use a cheat sheet on the tests. Lectures are clear and powerpoints are provided online. Some extra credit opportunities. 10/10, would recommend.

TAKE HIM!! Probably the only Psych professor I've had that makes sure you understand the lecture and wants you to pass! You need his book for the tables during exams. Does not take attendance but I highly recommend showing up so you understand lecture to pass also prepared for 202! Would take again if he taught 202

if you invest time on HW an study A LOT (3 days before an exam) you can get an A. Try not to miss any points. Compare your HW with other people because one point can either make or break your grade. No textbook needed, just befriend someone who has the book for the tables. Overall, pretty just and doable class. ***take his social psych class***

This class wasn't an easy one. Stats is already a very complex subject to learn so make sure that you don't miss ANY class, otherwise you will be lost. What I did to earn my B: perfect attendance & PUTTING IN THE TIME TO STUDY. He goes very fast so asking questions is essential, but will help. Although at times he can make it a bit more confusing.

Professor Okada is nice and easy to approach, but has kind of a dry sense of humor. Attendance isn't mandatory and he posts his lectures online, but this class is very hard, especially if you have not taken a stats class before so I never missed a day. You need to pay very close attention and go to his office hours for help. Put in work and study

Nothing other than, very hard to follow. His lectures were heavy and it was very hard to understand as he goes super fast. I wouldn't recommend him at all, do yourself a favor and go to another professor or be prepared to struggle for a barely passing grade. I'm afraid I might fail this class..

Okada is either a love or hate professor. Says it's not a math class; forget that. It's heavily math based. If you're a fast learner, you should be fine. He speaks way too fast, so if you fall behind, be prepared to work hard to get back up. Not a first choice, but he's a good guy. Homework tended to be easy for me, but it hardly reflects the test.

His lectures are very dry and generic, he hardly gives you any practice; you basically take what you can from the lecture and each of the 6 homework exercises feel like a test, and if you don't do well on the homework it will destroy your grade, pretty counter productive I hated this class

Comment:
Hate the grading system. Based on points. You can do well on all your tests (c or better) and understand the material and concepts, yet you can fail even though you didn't do 1 or 2 of your homework assignments. Stupid grading system. Was literally 1 percent away from getting a C...
