Comment:
I would say to avoid Professor Lakos at all costs, but she's currently the only Calc 3 lecturer at OSU. During office hours she once told us there are "no stupid questions," then proceeded to berate a student because "it was already answered in class." I requested a review of my final exam (TA addition error) and she took points OFF other problems.

Worst class I've ever taken. Professor Lakos does not care about her students, if you ask her a question she will simply repeat it back and ask why you don't know it. Avoid her classes!

Rude/shameful responses to questions online, indifference to students having conflicts "because you have drops so it doesn't matter lol", poorly organized notes, bad lectures where you basically just watch her solve practice problems in her head rather than her actually teaching the content to students. Overall, worst teacher I've ever had. Avoid.

Awful experience. Professor was extremely rude, unhelpful, and made you feel bad if you asked questions. Exams are 80% of your grade and are nothing like the lectures that she reuses. Exam time is very short and hard to finish. Do not take her class if at all possible. Does not accept late work under any circumstances or have any sympathy.

She goes really in depth to topics during lectures that, at the end of the day, dont matter (ie, why formulas work when all we need to know is how to apply the formula). She is also pretty rude when you ask questions and kind of acts like youre dumb as if this isnt calc 3.

She recycles her online lectures and doesn't remember them to help you out. If you do end up needing help, she's very rude about it and only points right back to her lecture notes. No real help at all.

Her lectures and homework don't reflect with the quizzes and exams it she is very nasty. If you email her she would help but come as rude or sometimes doesn't help you with what you're asking. Her lectures don't help at all and is very unorganized and she is very lazy and doesn't put a lot of effort into the class.

I really enjoyed having Dr. Lakos. The class itself was tough, there's really no getting around that, but her lectures made it much more engaging. She explained confusing topics very well, and peppered in a few jokes from time to time! As long as you pay attention to the lectures and do the review assignments, you'll be fine!

I took this class during professor Lakos first time teaching asynchronously, and it was very difficult. I feel like I didnt really learn much but did okay on most of the assignments. I think she would be better in person, but online, her recorded lectures were confusing and often too long.

Professor Lakos is a caring person. However, her lectures were complicated and unclear. It seemed like she overcomplicated many concepts because the textbook explanations were a lot simpler. Also, her midterms were especially difficult and fast-paced. Even though exams were open note, I would suggest consolidating your notes into a couple of pages

watch Professor Leonard on YouTube and get ready to teach yourself. although Professor Lakos seems like a kind lady, the best decision I made was to stop watching her lectures because they were confusing as hell

Comment:
Lectures are disorganized. Homeworks and take-home quizes take an insane amount of time to complete. Exams are based on a weeding out process that involve questions that are not covered in the class. The allotted exam times are short. Slow exam-taker? The insufficient exam time can lead you to perform less than your best. She doesn't curve grades.

This class is very easy. Lectures are helpful, and exams are way easier than any of the practice material given out. The textbook is also a good resource to get a deeper understanding. My only wish is that proofs were at least presented on some of the topics (Green's Theorem, Jacobians, etc). Overall, an easy intro to multivariable calculus.

Her lecture has nothing to do with the exam. The example explained in the video is always simpler than the exam, but the exam cannot be used as a review reference based on her lecture. The exam time is too short. It takes a lot of extra time to understand the book. If you listen to or not listen to her lecture video, you will get a poor grade. RUN!

Worst professor in my college life. Extremely disorganized lecture. Basically ended up watching YouTube videos and teaching myself most of the time. She just lectures in a way nobody could understand. Try your best to avoid her if you can.

Professor Lakos has a thick accent, which makes her lecture difficult to understand. She is also not friendly. If you reach out to her outside of class, she would be very rude and do her best to ignore you.

This is the worst math class in my college life. The professors classes is not clear and the sample is useless. Especially the questions in Carmen quiz for midterm are all not mentioned in the class. Better to choice another Professor!
