Loved her class and loved her as a professor! She's not for every person, because you have to learn to just go with the flow and assignments will change on a whim. Very concerned for her students and willing to answer questions, and as long as solid effort is put in you will pass.

Comment:
Grading seems extremely subjective and feedback often contradicts itself. She is more than willing than help, but less than able. If you ask a simple question, she will ramble for half an hour about tangential subjects, but never answer the damn question. Prepare to fly blind.

Professor Hayes has been the most insightful, helpful, and interesting professor I have had in my four years in the UMaine psych department. She is the reason I am considering grad school here at UMaine. FANTASTIC teacher, amazing person, extremely interesting background in psych.

Marie is very knowledgeable, which can be intimidating at times. She's very nice and tries to keep the students from becoming overwhelmed with their 20 page thesis, while still letting them know that its a lot of work.

She's really good and easy to talk to just that the students that she chooses to work with her on projects are chosen over better students.

tests aren't too hard. Some questions came straight from the study guide. Definately talks down to the class. She's always postponing deadlines, but also slow in returning tests. Going to class isn't necessary to do well.

One of the worst classes I've had in 4 years. Unclear, scattered, inconsistent information, talks down to her class. Passionate about subject material but that doesnt help anything. Avoid her at all costs.

Tests are a little difficult with tricky questions. A little loopy in lecture and lecture often boring and repetitive. Truly cares if you learn something though and is willing to help you all the time. Does scale tests and study guides aren't very helpful.

Very enthusiastic about what she teaches and very willing to explain things if you have questions. Organization is a little bit scattered, but if you stop to ask a few questions, things become clear. Tests are challenging, but not unreasonable.

I have had several classes with Marie, she really is brilliant but often can be scatterbrained also she expects more out of you than many other teachers but if you try she will help you and you will get a good grade. Good professor if you are willing to work and want to learn.

Really knows her stuff. Is very interesting to listen to, but can be unclear. Somewhat disorganized when it comes to test material. A fair grader. Know psychological studies to use as examples on tests.
