One of the most helpful teacher Ive ever encountered at COC. Really interesting lectures and treats the students like his colleagues, genuinely cares, so understanding and respectful. I cannot emphasize enough tthat you should take his class if you'd like to really know and learn on what Philosophy is all about.

This is a man who is great at explaining the basics of philosophy. I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures and looked forward to the class. He makes it easy, as long as you study for the tests you will pass with flying colors. Anyone who says he is a tough grader didn't try at all. He's a little unorganized but it's charming and won't affect your grade.

If you want an easy A take his course. We had 2 papers, 3 exams but he ended dropping one and gave detailed reviews for the other two, made it impossible not to get an A. Philosophy isn't the easiest subject and can drag but he made it abover bearable. I totally thought I'd hate it but I actually ended up interested afterwards, great professor

Some people say that you like or dislike philosophy based on whether or not you liked your first philosophy teacher. Mr. French was my first philosophy teacher. I love philosophy.

I have never needed to write a review on a teacher until now-worst teacher I've had as student-extremely unclear in the way that he teaches the material- tells us we need the book, then says he doesn't like the book & the way it explains the material-extremely unorganized & did not tell students their grade the whole semester-wish i could write mor

Disappointed by this teacher. While he is a nice person, he was extremely disorganized and didn't seem to care about the class. Would cancel class 20 min prior to when it was supposed to start, "didn't have access to his email" so there was no way to contact him, and after all of that still graded way too hard. Don't take this class.

He is a horrible grader of homework and essays. Not very professional, came to class late many times, turned in final grades late and even misplaced a few assignments. All in all a decent class because he is very passionate about what he teaches.

He is a very laid back teacher. Probably one of the most relaxed teachers I've had. If you do your work (which is credit/no credit) and do well on the test (which he gives you a complete study guide) then you should be fine! May run a bit late sometimes, but all in all, one of my favorite teachers.

He's engaging and very understanding. The class is not difficult; he will go over the tests beforehand. Anyone can get an A in the class as long as you do the assignments and study a little for the test.

Pay attention during the lecture and take notes, this stuff will be on the test and knowing it will facilitate the test which are simple. He's funny, and he tells personal stories at times, the class goes by quick if you pay attention or not. He stays after if you need help with anything. Do take his class.

Lee French was definitely one of my favorite professors! He is very easy-going! It was obvious his priority was for everyone in the class to do well. I highly recommend taking this professor. Only thing is he doesn't always return papers back in a timely matter. Despite that one thing, he is a Great professor!

Looks like the stoner Mel Gibson! Great person, questions everything. Very interesting. Homework and projects are pass or fail, you'll pass if you simply turn it in. Exams are easy, vocab and essays which he gives you the prompts for.. Best teacher I've ever had

In all honesty, he is the WORST professor I have ever taken at College of the Canyons. He stated the first day of class that we would have a syllabus and never did. Yeah he's easy, but he's also irresponsible, lost, confused, and condescending. If you take this teacher, just be prepared to teach yourself EVERYTHING, and don't expect him to help.

Easy teacher, will help you out if you don't understand something. The class is really interesting, you don't have to like philos to like his class. You just have to be open minded.
