The test are an important part of your grade, but they aren't hard just go to lecture and if you want an A read the textbook. I think it's pretty hard to fail his class. HW is online quizzes based on Ch reading, yes there are quizlets but again if you read your GOLDEN. Lectures can be boring at times, material wise but he keeps is funny and short.

The class was not that hard. However, if you are not interested in anthropology and archaeology it is very boring. The tests are all multiple choice and if you pay attention in class they are not terribly hard.

My favorite lecturer this semester. Most of the homeworks have an online quizlet but you should still read the reading if you want to do well on the tests. Great guy, lectures were not boring, and I learned a lot even though this class was my elective.

Great class! The material was presented in a clear and concise manner. Professor Sandweiss seemed to be really excited about his field. Some people complained because we had to buy and read his book and look at pictures from his digs, but I had no problem with him sharing first hand experience. A+

Very intelligent man. He knows what he's talking about, but he's dry and arrogant. He requires every one to buy and read the book he wrote, which is complete rubbish. The material is dry and it's hard to stay awake in class. I regretted taking the course.

Great guy, slow grader. Tells some interesting stories and added some interest to an otherwise boring & cold semester before I transfered to a college back in civilization.

weird sense of humor, some lectures are boring but he incorporates a variety of presentation styles, i.e. videos, guest lectures, the museum tour, etc. tests are easy if you study from the study guide. he made anthro enjoyable overall.

ugh, i hated this class-lectures sucked, he was uninteresting and seemed to be on his high horse that he dug up somewhere with one of his reasearch grants. hated that class and it was four years ago and am still scarred from it

You can tell he makes his TA do a lot, and he reads off a powerpoint...but he has a sense of humor and seems like a down to earth guy who will help when it's needed. Tests arent that bad if you read and go to lecture
