He has been excellent with his lectures the way he explains the concepts is wonderful. Loved the extra tutorials where he would break down the week's content easily with the problems helped so much. Norm and Norman both deserve more love and respect thanks for being the best at teaching :)

Steve Norman is a great prof he is caring with all of his students I started attending the live sessions he was super concise and would explain you the concept in much detail I had him for ENGG 233 as well last year and I can say so far he is an absolute legendary professor in the computer department. Slides were well organized as well. Thanks Norm

Comment:

Despite the ongoing pandemic, he is very understanding. The exams were all open book, open notes, and open internet along with plenty of time in order to do the exam in order to prevent cheating. The labs were fun and the course material was interesting. I can't wait to take ENCM 369 with him next term.

Very clear lectures managing to teach everything in a very approachable way. Exams were all completely reasonable, I never had to worry about a thing in this class. Norman along with Bartley have made pandemic life just a little bit less stressful. I wish every prof could be as great as him.

One half of the Norm duo - best profs in engineering. Really well-structured lectures that were easy to follow. He designs really good labs that prepare you perfectly for exams.

Amazing prof. Had him 2 years in a row for enel 353 and encm 369. His slides and notes are god-tier, though they sometimes give un-necessary information. Study his past exams and do all the labs, even the optional exercises, and you will be ready for whatever he throws at you on the exam.

His notes are just clear and easy to follow and is a great prof outside of his class if you want to get help on coding. He makes the concepts easier to understand than the course coordinator.

Norman may be a good professor for other classes but this is not his best. You will learn all you need from the YouTube videos provided by Moshirpour. I usually did homework for this class or others during the lectures.

Steve is probably the greatest prof you will ever have. He makes his lectures very interested and goes through class at a fast pace to keep you engaged. He seems to finish lecture content about a week early which gives you tons of time to study for the final. Also, HIS HAIR, it is some of the nicest flow you will ever see, its so ferda.

Dr. Normans lectures are easily the best part about him. I took ENEL 353 and ENCM 339 with him and got an A- and an A. Currently taking ENCM 369 with him. When he pushes his hair back out of his face it's hard to regain my focus on the lecture content but, overall good professor.

-uploads all lectures online (mostly slides, occasional handwritten notes) -a considerable portion of the lecture slides aren't related to exams/quizzes, but almost all of the handwritten portion are definitely exam material. -labs were graded for completion, very easy labs -always 1 question on exam that's extremely hard (save this for last)

Dr. Norman is an excellent prof! His lectures are comprehensive, the labs are really helpful to further learn course material and the tests are reasonable, but not easy. He is very approachable and I would love to be in his class again.

I really enjoyed his classes! He clears all of your doubts by answering all your questions with a helpful response whether it is via email or after class. He is very knowledgeable about computing and will deliver the information very effectively to his students!! Would recommend taking a class with him. Can't wait for ENCM 369!!!

BEST NOTES EVER. Steve Norman is the best prof I have had to date. His notes and lectures are methodically organized to make your learning as effective as possible. Heavily recommend you attend his lectures because he is a superb teacher who understands when to stop and clarify a topic. You can still do well just studying off of his notes.
