Worse professor I've had. The class is three hours but could be summed up in 20 minutes. Assigns work and doesn't remember what she assigned or when it's due. If you have a different opinion than her, it's frowned upon. Class is chaotic and confusing, I have not learned anything throughout this course.

Jane is an AMAZING professor! She is so caring and always there to help her students. Her class can seem a bit unorganized at times but she makes up for it with how helpful she is. She is clearly passionate about her work and I couldn't ask for a better mentor/professor.

Comment:
This class is pointless and I didn't gain anything from it. This could have easily been offered as an online class, because the actual lectures were POINTLESS to show up to. Wellman-Little is also very unforgiving and unwilling to offer help to students.

Professor Wellman-Little is the type of professor who does things "her way or the highway." She shows little sympathy and flexibility when it comes to the needs of her students. 10

I LOVED Jane! She is clearly passionate about childrens literature and is willing to help you with anything! She is willing to help you work out solutions. Workload was alot, but if you do it throughout the semester and don't wait until the end, you'll be fine. For Jane, everything is "grand, grand!"

This class was by far the biggest waste of time of any of the education courses I took. I literally had zero use for book documents after this course was finished. Her teaching style is unorganized and out of date. One of the reasons I switched out of education to engineering.

She's the most caring and involved professor I've ever had. She's cool and easy to talk to when you feel like you're in a rut. Always willing to compromise and figure out solutions.

Way too much work for a 3 credit class. Its pointless work as well. The only way to get through the class is to work on all the book docs throughout the whole semester. Its awful if you wait. She is nice and helpful, but a little out there. Its a required class for education so just keep up with the work!

Wayyyy too much homework.. expected to document at least 48 books (including novels) along with other projects and papers.... Final notebook due at the end of the semester that you will (as she thinks) use in your career, but most people say you never will... The work isn't hard but VERY time consuming, especially if you have other classes too!

The class seems overwhelming at first (there's a lot of work, but it's not hard) but the class overall is a lot of fun. The syllabus is really hard to understand - my advice is, as soon as you can, to write the important info from your syllabus in a way that you can clearly understand and reference it...it'll make your life a lot easier. :)

This is the most useful education course you can take on this campus. Take it if you can! You complete a final project in the class completely tailored to what you want to know about.

I love Jane because she will drop whatever you are supposed to be learning to tell you a story about when she was teaching. She is always on the soap box and it is great because she really cares about children's all around development, not just whether they learn to read and write. She is a fabulous resource.

Jane is a great professor. The ERL teachers are all awesome. The class gets you out into the field and does require some work of you. You'll leave the class with a new repertoire of "Jane" speak such as tangled, good go, and more. Great lecturer and she makes a four hour class go by quickly.

I felt that the limitations put on the student's work and the attention to details was a little overboard but the class gives you a good reference tool.Jane is a talented lecturer it is easy to listen to her for the long hours that we put in.

She's not joking when she says you have to work hard, but she is there for you if you need help and is really understanding. Don't be scared to ask her for advice on stuff. She will make the class fun! But she expects you to be on top of things.
