Professor is nice but very quiet and not the best at explaining course material. Class isn't easy but also isn't very hard for a chem course. Everything you need to know for the exams are on the slides or problem sets. He gives extra credit for attendance on days few people show up. Course is alright for breadth.

Ridge is very quiet, so it's impossible to hear his lectures even sitting in the front. He is also not that accessible outside of class if you can't attend office hours. However, Ridge does care about his students. Do the HW, and you'll do well on the quizzes and exams. He tries to set up the course so everyone ends up doing well.

Prof Ridge means well, but isn't the best. He's very sweet but speaks so softly that he's hard to hear even with a mic. Attendance isn't mandatory and he posts the lectures online, but he gives extra credit for attendance for classes where a lot of people are absent. You need the textbook because he has graded homework from the chapter questions.

Doug Ridge is suchh a sweet guy. He''s probably the definition of a cute proud grandfather. Unfortunately he is very boring. He speaks in monotone and most of the class falls asleep. The tests are almost identical to HW and practice questions from the textbook so study those and you''ll be fine. He''s so nice so just go to class for the extracredit

Fabulous man. He is brilliant. Very quiet, so sit close to the front of the room. Exams are based totally off of quizzes and homeworks.

Awesome guy! As long as you do the homeworks and study the quizzes for the tests you'll be fine. He gives you every equation you could ever need.

Ridge is such a sweet man. He does speak really quietly so sit in the front. His powerpoints are really great and he posts them on Sakai so I just studied those before the exams. This class could be a little tricky if you've never taken chem. Homework isn't too bad and you go over it in class. The exams are harder than you might think so study

The exams were a bit tricky but fairly easy for someone with an understanding of chemistry. Read the textbook and try to pay attention to his lectures. He speaks VERY quietly but he is generally an approachable professor and will help you.

Every section of this class (including the honors section) takes the same exams. Sometimes it seems that he forgets to give some specific information that the other professors give, so make sure you go to the other section's lectures right before an exam. Overall this class was all about the textbook for me, your experience may differ.

Got to admit that lecture is boring. his handwriting is so hard to read and he does not speak that loud but rather mumbling. ,aterial in class is quite hard. just do the assigned HW and the problem sets in each chapter, you will be fine without a need to go to class
