She might seem a bit tough and intimidating at first, but once you get to know her she's not bad at all! She's very helpful if you ask and PAY ATTENTION to what she says! It is not an easy class, but it is not as hard as I had heard. I got a B, barely studied and didn't do any of the homework (not mandatory btw). Her labs are easy.

One of the worst college instructors I've encountered, she has all these outdated notes and handouts that aren't even relevant to the course. She still uses an old-fashioned projector, has no online resources, and doesn't provide help. If you plan on failing chemistry, then take this class with her.

She is one of the best instructors I've ever had. Very easy if you attend classes and do homework. Exams and quizes are easy and straightforward, nothing tricky. She explains every little detail very well. Teaching style s perfect. Take her, you wont regret it.

I enjoyed professor Thomas' lectures, she made them interesting. I only had her for lecture so I don't know how she is for lab, but overall I consider her one of the better chem teachers. hw is not mandatory but extremely useful in studying for tests and quizzes. skim through the chapters before class and it'll make it easier to learn the material

By far the worst professor currently teaching Chemistry. Anal to the core. Has many issues and no answers. Has no respect for her students and treats them like children. Her knowledge is shallow and outdated. And her teaching style is suited for elementary school not college. If you like to be abused and fail take her class.

I think a good teacher should teach well and respect students feeling also, not like her. She always tries to put you down instead of encouraging you to learn more. Teaching style is OK.

She is a great prof, if you do not do good in her class you prob wont do good in university. She is very helpful but will yell at you first, but its for your own good. Students are used to just getting the answers, she actually makes you think. Her lectures are clear and interesting. Her test are hard though.

I had Hecht for 170&200, and I honestly thought Prof. Thomas' classes were much clearer and her tests easier. She can be scary to some students, but if you manage to look past that and get the guts to ask her questions, she's great. I didn't do the textbook hw, but I did to go lectures and studied for every test. Managed to get my first B in chem!

She is a hard teacher! Her lectures seem kind of sloppy. She teaches very differently from other chem teachers, she does try to give you a "shortcut" to do problems, but sometimes it may seem longer than the original way. There are 4 exams and a cumulative final, which can be hard if you don't read the book, study, and do the homework.

It seems as though she often forgets that talking down to students is demoralizing if not offensive.Chem 210= Lecture(3hrs)+Lab(6hrs)/week.Consider the amount of time you will invest in this class wisely. Tests will need a LOT of study time, lab reports must be IMPECCABLE for survival.She writes on overhead and tends to elevate voice unnecesarily

Heard horror stories about Professor Thomas before I got in her class and found the opposite to be true. Great teacher, very knowledgable, and offers plenty of extra credit. Review notes frequently and you will have no problem.

so...im not gonna lie. shes tough and shes kind of mean. but she does know her biz. but she will call you out on yours, in front of the class. she favors her past students and makes everyone else feel like crap basically. if you didnt take her for 200 dont bother. but dont take khuong either. i shouldve went to grossmont.
