Comment:
Every Tuesday and Thursday, we read and do an assignment about the reading. So, the textbook is mandatory. The assignments take only an hour each. Sometimes we will only watch videos and write a review. There are two papers in the semester. This class is fully online. Not a mean professor at all. Responds quickly to emails.

Professor Almquist is a very knowledgable person, he is understanding, charismatic, and always willing to help outside of class! The course consisted of two midterm essays and the final, which were pretty easy if you showed-up, took in-class notes, and bought his textbook.

He gives six homework assignments throughout the semester and they are also very easy. He also gives a final exam that requires to short written papers which are also very easy to write since they only require research gathered in class. It's an easy A for his class as long as you do the work, which is minimal.

Professor Almquist is so nice and smart. He really knows his material, yet he welcomes you to participate if you want to. He does rely on lectures with no visual aid, but most of the time he shows videos. Although he is generous on the due date, his writing assignment does take some time.

Dr. Almquist is a great professor. He's very intelligent and knowledgeable! Attendance isn't mandatory but you do have to write 5 papers and 1 final exam. He's very nice and isn't a tough grader. If you write elaborately, you'll be fine. I'd take him again.

This class required you to write 5 papers and 1 final paper. MUST BUY THE BOOK!!! (only at bookstore for $60) He is not tough grader and he doesn't care about grammar or the structure on your writing, but at least try to write it long. Overall, this class not so bad at all. Take him if you need to get your GE out of the way or else DON'T!

We literally watched youtube videos for 60% of the class. He often chatted through the first 20 minutes of class about things like his pet spider monkey in college. There was no work, don't bother buying the book, just use it in the library for the only two papers the class requires. Great guy but his primate class is a waste of time and money.

I showed up to class literally 2 times in the quarter - got all the material I needed for essays from online sources. No nothing, just two essays out of 10 points each. 1 was the midterm the other was the final. If you do bad on midterm, don't worry, just speak with him and ask for guidance, he will work with you and help you get a good grade.

Very knowledgeable teacher. Took primate social behavior with him. Easy class! No homework or tests, just a midterm and final which are both essays and are worth a lot of your grade. These are both based off of class lectures. Just come to class take notes and listen. I liked his lectures they were very interesting!

He's nice, but it's an incredibly boring class! All you do is watching movies & read articles. I had no idea what he was talking about half the time. He assigns HW each week, then forgot what questions he had given us. He never updates anything on blackboard ever so you never know how you're doing in the class. If you can, take another class

Knowledgeable, but doesn't know how to TEACH.Rather, just rambles on about how much he knows and WHO he knows in the anth field.Clearly doesn't lesson plan. When asked to clarify what chapter lecturing on, twice he said, "I have no idea".Students spend the entire class flipping thru book trying to make sense of confusing lecture. Exams are very hard!

Everything's pretty much been said, this class is basically study hall. You'll learn about how kooky sex is around the world, sure, but it's not because of Almquist's lectures that's for sure. Essays were kind of a pain, but you write it long enough and it's an A all the way. Eh, take it if you need it for your GE, why not?

This guy seems like he's ready to retire. He has a great sense of humor and his class is easy but it's boring! He doesn't care too much about acutally teaching the subject even though he does have a lot to say. All he does is watch movies and assign LONG essays on the reading (I don't think he even reads them) I wouldn't take this guy if I were you

He is very nice and his lectures are interesting. He is not very clear on how he wants the hw writings to be but wants a summary of the article and an anwser to the question. He is very understanding and he doesn't take role and he acepts late work without a penalty. he gave my class 6 hw assignments, and final from h.w. & s.g. questions

He's easy. In order to get the highest score in his class you need to answer the homework questions as though you were doing an essay on each with your opinion. Do that and you'll get the highest score possible.
