Not gonna lie, I can't tell you much about this class because the lectures were so off-topic and nonsensical. Basically, you have two take home exams and a mythical final that no one ever takes from what I hear. Do what you have to do, and you'll be fine as far as grades.

He says from day 1 that the in-class lectures will have nothing to do with the tests, you have to read yourself. Lots of group assignments, and the way that he decides if you take the final or not is absolutely ridiculous (but we didn't have to take it.) Tests are hard, the entire class collaborated and the average was only like a 3.0

Read the reviews of other students!!! I did not learn a single thing about Consumer behavior throughout the class. He assigns random papers, and has crazy grading criteria. Talks about politics and his personal life more than anything else, then gives take home tests on stuff he never covered. EASY but if you want to learn don't take him!!!

I agree with many of the posters on here, tests are take home but EXTREMELY hard. Didn't have enough time for last test, so made highest test count twice. Does offer a TON of extra credit and is there for help if you need it, although like everyone has said he isn't clear at times. Very nice and if you put in the work, you'll like the grade.

There are tests, but they are take home and the answers are hard to find in the book or online. Very Unclear about the grades i didnt know my grade in the class until grades were due and i had to beg to find out my grade. Overall easy class, but annoying, and did not learn one single thing about the class material the whole semester.

Big group (or solo) project that is worth 60% of overall grade. Very nice man, but not very clear on grading scale, directions. One thing I like is he offers a TON of extra credit. If you like writing he offers you to write research papers for extra credit. If you put in the work, you will like the outcome.

Didn't learn one thing in this class all semester. He wrote the same thing on the board every day. If people asked questions, he never answered clearly. He is a very nice man, but can't reach. Take home exams are EXTREMELY hard!!!

Worst class ever! He gives the same notes each class period and you learn absolutely nothing. If you want to learn anything about marketing do NOT take his class. His exams are takehome multiple choice but still extremely hard. Make sure you start on the course project as soon as possible because it is 60% of your grade.

I have never taken such a joke of a class. He needs to be removed from university faculty. Didn't learn a thing. He spends more time talking about politics than marketing. If I were a marketing major I would be upset about the lack of material presented in the class. Cannot express how upset I was to spend $1200 and learn nothing from this guy.

Talks on the phone in class, writes down the same thing on the board every day, has political views that he lets you know about often, and has no due dates for anything. Most unorganized, careless professor I've ever had. Had to take MKT 101 at Macomb and it didn't transfer. It's incredible how much more I learned there. DO NOT take this class!

Ron Dix's consumer behaviors class went really well. He's a great guy. A little quirky but he knows his stuff. more hands-on teaching style. Lots of handouts but grade is based on 3 pretty cool group projects. one exam, and a final paper. Pretty basic. Just go to class, listen to what he has to say, participate in the group project and boom.. 4.0

I honestly still have no clue what this class was about. Tests are take home so just ask google everything and then the rest of the time you do ungraded presentations. This guy is a complete disaster.

Waste of time. My friends had more fun mocking his stupid sound effects. Never used the book. Don't buy it. 2 Exams, on his dumb hand outs, take home. and the group project was basically your grade. You won't learn the basic principles of Mkting take KIM!

A new layout for class. Different but fun teaching style. like watching a stand up comedian. Has you look at topics in a new perspective. Projects are key and tests are not. My perfect type of class learned much more than anticipated. Others who like cut and dry orginized step by step classes may not like this one. Just use your imagination, havfun

Didn't use the textbook. Large amount of the grade was based on your final paper, which he lays out for you. the class is pretty open ended and he teaches you about real life and not the textbook material.

Lemme tell ya if you want you can just do all the group work, use an old project spiced up, take part in his rigged contest that the kids always win and get an automatic 100 on the final, etc. You dont learn much but if you use 25% of your briain you will get a 3.8 or higher!!! VERY EASY!!!
