She is an awesome professor! I loved this class so much! Theres a couple big assignments where you answer questions about the books you read but they aren't hard, just long. The tests were tough but straight from the study guides so if you do the study guides you will be fine! Overall, class is super easy, fun and she cares! Take this if you can!

TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!!! She is amazing! I even had to go back home for a few weeks for family stuff and she gave me so many extensions and was so understanding! Most homework is through Cengage. Even when I got things wrong, she would still give me a high grade and email me why some of my answers were wrong. I cannot recommend her enough!

I totally failed this class, but not it had nothing to do with Profesora Wright. She was THE KINDEST professor I have ever had. She genuinely cares about her students + she actually takes into account how COVID is affecting us. The course is very hard, but not because of her, but rather learning a foreign language is hard and time-consuming.

She knows her Spanish literature! Her accent isn't all that great, but she does get her point across. There is a lot of reading and analyzing, but this is to be expected from a literature class. If you do all of the readings and you will be fine. Although the lectures were boring, the readings were interesting. I learned a lot about Spain.

Her class is extremely tedious, difficult, and not fun. She assigns an ungodly amount of homework during the week, despite only meeting once a week for class (which was synchronous and online by the way), and doesn't like to be emailed with questions, and forces you to ask your peers even if nobody knows but her.

She really cares about her students and has a sweet heart. So many people don't give her a fair chance, but she is really helpful if you just ask.

There's a ton of homework for her class, be prepared to spend several hours a week if you want to do well. Her exams aren't too hard though, and the vocab quizzes are easy every week if you spend a few minutes looking over the words.

I would have loved this class if she had used a different online homework system. Cengage is confusing and hard to use, and I missed a few assignments just because I couldn't find them so I would highly recommend triple checking every arrow so the same thing doesn't happen to you! There's a quiz every class but she's pretty easygoing.

Prof. Wright is a really nice person, but I didn't enjoy her as a professor. She didn't put any grades in, she was unorganized, she mumbles, she doesn't correct someone when they say something wrong (so we never learned anything). I felt like most of our class time was a waste of time, and a lot of her assignments were really time-consuming.

Had her for my honors sequence. The class has a LOT of reading which I actually did like none of and did fine. Honestly, when it came to your grade, as long as you could smile and nod in class and read just one of the works and write a paper, you do just fine. Her lectures are a little boring but she's very caring and sweet.

Professor Wright enjoys very much the assignments she gives you. She knows them by heart and sometimes doesn't understand the difficulty level of the reading. You dive right in the first week and keep on trucking. Little explanation and without reading, you'll fail the tests.

She's a really nice person, but the class was boring and there was so much reading. Also she mumbles a lot and it can be difficult to understand her. Her handwriting is illegible as well.

Overall awful class. If you hope to learn anything relating to spanish, do not take this class. Her vocabulary is extremely limited and her explanations of concepts are foggy at best. I hope you like to read and google a lot of things if you sign up for this

She cares about the success of the students that she has. She doesn't speak Spanish very well at all. She can't conjugate, use correct vocabulary, or even finish sentences because she can't think of words. Often replaces words with english ones accidentally (or, see, simple words like that). At the same time, understanding and nice attitude.

Her Spanish is terrible. She knows the material she teaches very well, but not the language she teaches it in. She wants students to succeed, but her Spanish grammar is at a 200-level, her vocab is alright, and she can't finish sentences because she doesn't know how to say it. She sprinkles too many English words into lecture for my liking.

First of all SPA440 is a literature class so expect to read the whole book. She is a very energetic prof and what she lacks in authenticity of her Spanish (no accent, incorrect grammar, and use of spanglish) she makes up with in her amazing personality. She will go above and beyond to help a student; she gave multiple extensions to our whole class.

I love Profesora Wright! She is so nice and goofy. She assigns a lot of reading, but this is a literature class, so it's to be expected. Just make sure to talk to other students, as you will be doing many group discussions and projects, and they are your greatest allies in trying to figure out what these texts mean. I would take this class again!!!

I got an 'A' in the class, even though I had to teach myself. I was very interested in the topic before I took the class and I still am in spite of her. Her use of Spanish is not what I would expect from university prof.

Had her for Spanish Film, she was very helpful and flexible. Allowed late work and revisions but you did have to email her about it. I didnt like having to add another 2 hrs of hw because we didnt watch the movies in class but I would take her again. Loved what I learned but definately didnt need the book at all.
