This is the worst professor I have EVER had. She does not communicate with the class. The class is based off of 4 very difficult tests and one essay that is graded unfairly. She is very rude in her response to emails, that's if she responds.

Ive seen a lot of bad reviews on here regarding the class and I cannot relate to those experiences what so ever. As long as you read the syllabus clearly and follow her instructions you will be just fine. Dont wait until last minute and ask questions early. She offered two opportunities for extra credit this semester and they were easy points.

Test are hard lectors are focused on topics that are not tested and supporting material such as powerpoints and papers are no help at all. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS it was going to be my blow-off class and I nearly failed.

Worst prof and class ever. Lectures don't make sense. Quizzes are EXTREMELY hard and they're they only grades. Prof doesn't respond to emails and isn't willing to help students. Do not take this class.

Absolute worst teacher, does not alert students that the tests are open, or when they close. She just expects that you know, no other teacher does it. Does not respond to emails and is very lazy. The tests get graded by the computer so she has no work to grade, surly she can make time. WORST TEACHER EVER

Do not listen to majority of these reviews. If you do you work and do what she asks of you, you should be fine. Her criteria is very specific and it is not hard to do well in her class if you actually try and do your work. People who don't do well are those who do the bare minimum. Her classes aren't hard as long as you do what she asks of you.

I regret taking this class. Please avoid! I was completely baffled by how this class was so poorly ran. Half the quiz questions were impossible to know. The professor was very close-minded and unfair when grading my paper. Would not recommend.

She doesn't get students. She makes lectures that are too long and boring. She only has 4 things that are graded and the tests are confusing and hard. She goes too heavy into feminism and when she talks about it, she speaks way too long on it and go off on tangents. I would not take her again nor recommend her to other students.

Jennifer Rike seems very knowledgeable, but this seems to lead her down tangents very often during lectures. The exams are open note and reading and listening to lectures is necessary to do well in her class. The class was based on 3 exams and one final paper, which means you need to do well on everything to do well in the class.

If you're stuck taking this class, just know that you can do it. You just have to put in the time and the work for it. Paste ppnts and lecture notes into a document. have it open next to you when you take the quizes. The quizes are hard and irrelevant. Your grade saver is gonna be the essay, I asked a professor and a friend to peer edit mine.

Do not take this class! Her lectures are difficult to follow, she is impossible to get in contact with, and her quizzes do not follow the content she posts to Blackboard. Unless you already know EVERYTHING there is to possibly know about the 3 major religions, an A is unrealistic for you in this class.

She says that the students can call or email her but she never returns any calls or email. The class is online and she is very rude with her comments about assignments when she puts an announcement on black board. The lectures are pre-recorded and it is very hard to get in touch with her to ask any questions about the material.

Terrible professor. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT TAKE HER! Its a simple religion class that should be an easy pass and it was harder than my science courses. Her exams were so difficult i listened to her lectures took notes and printed every thing she gave us out and still failed my two first exams and had to drop the class. Also she is so unhelpful.

Dr. Rike is difficult to work with. She tends to blame students and won't help with online testing tools. Like another student said, she takes a week to respond to emails. The lectures are boring and monotone.

Study of Religions online with Professor Rike proved to be much more difficult than expected. 3 tests and 1 final paper are all that will amount to your final grade. The tests were pretty difficult and it was hard to find the answers. Thankfully she was willing to review rough drafts to the final paper.

This is the worst online class i have ever taken. We have 3 tests that are horrible, and a paper. If you fail tests there's pretty much nothing you can do because there is no homework, discussion or anything else just 3 tests!

For our Sexuality class, all you had to do was show up and participate. She is very all over the place, and more of a "go with the flow" professor. The class is very interesting. There is quite a bit of reading, but she will drop them if students believe it is too much. If you want an easy A to fill that religion core, this is the class to take.

Worse class I have taken in my 4 years at UDM. Her attitude was very unprofessional and took about a week to answer emails. Her test questions had very little to do with the text and her own opinion was integrated into the answers. Will never take a class by her again.
